Hey guys so I just got a job at jackson hole resort for the winter and am having some trouble finding a place to live.

Any suggestions on other towns to look at that are close enough to commute every day?

Anybody looking for a roomate?

Honestly anything will help!

Check out the Radios classified section. Its like a craigslist specific to the JH Valley!

Also if you want to live somewhere cheaper, check out Victor and Driggs Idaho, its over the Teton Pass, so expect a 40+ minute commute each way. More, much more sometimes when the weather is bad or the pass is closed b/c an accident or avy. You also have Alpine, WY which is about 45 mins south of Jackson, the drive through the canyon isnt as treacherous as the pass, but it is a longer drive.

Housing right now is hard to come by. Best best is to set up a monthly stay at a local hotel until you meet people looking for rommies at work.

What does the mountain have you slaving away doing this season?

Housing is really tough. I'll second the motel recommendation to at least start out. I lived in a motel all of last season and know others who did as well. I stayed at the elk country inn. Others in the paper right now are Super 8, Anvil, Pony express and painted buffalo. Pretty sure the Virginian does weekly/monthly as well, nearly all of them do. There is always the hostel too.

Thanks for the suggestion guys! I went ahead and got a hotel room ill be renting out by the month.

I'll be a liftie at Jackson Hole so if anyone wants to shred sometime hit me up!

I work at The Hostel, on the mountain, ski in, 3 mins to the tram. If you get a shared bunk room, so you (could) be sharing with up to 3 other ppl, though its unlikely at the start of the season. For the month of December its a total of $868, no tax bc its a tax free 30+ day stay. Probably a little more than in town at the hotels, but you dont have to fuck with the bus, plus 1st box is all but guaranteed!
