Who has a hotter accent. Aussies or Kiwis?

and yes, there is a difinitive difference for those who think its the same accent... Kinda like how someone from the West sounds much different than someone from New York... or... say, New England.

I rule in favour (yes with a U) with the Kiwis.

but saying that, some aussie accents shit me up the wall.

 
But you can't cook them properly.

And every time an aussie says six it sounds like sex.. you guys are for jokes! Also, don't get excited when aussies talk about going to the beach in their thongs. For some reason flip flops or jandals are called thongs.

gotta give it to australian accents, nobody wants to hear "im sa suxy" from some inbred kiwi chick

although the accents from the bogan areas of sinny and melb (and fucking port adelaide "cahn tha paaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*death rattle wheeze, hock up a whole pile of winnie blue tar*) is possibly the worst sound on earth
 
Nothing is sexier than an Aussie accent.

Though, seeing as I'm not Aussie or Kiwi, I don't see too much of a difference. It's my understanding that Kiwi's are harder to understand. But I feel the Aussie accent is heavier. Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
eh to be perfectly honest, most people in the cities of either country would be pretty similar, its just when you go out the back of bumfuck in either country that the accents get stronger. bogan aussies usually sound like some wounded bird of prey like a crow or magpie or raven or something (hence the "carn tha paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" thing (you'll never find that sound in any other accent or language) but the country new zealand people get their vowels all mixed up

 
I'm giving it to Germans... there's this German chick in my class who constantly interjects her sentences with a super-sexy "Yes" like she's getting fucked right there... besides the fact that the accent as a whole is really smooth and hot. Gotta give it to the Germans.
 
i really don't care. i could listen to either one for hours.

when i was in nz this summer though, their accent actually worked out pretty well for me. since i liked listening to them talk so much, i'd meet a girl and barely talk at all about myself, and instead just ask questions. apparently people like to talk about themselves, and i had no chance to say anything stupid cause i was just listening.
 
go to any footy match and everyone sounds bogan though.

including the lovely mrs koutoufides who i had the experience of telling to "shut the hell up, he cant kick, or play for shit" before realizing that she was the wife of the player i was referring too.

 
In response to the thread, as long as you keep within the Great Dividing Range, Australian accents are tolerable. Go beyond or further north, even Australians can't stand them.

i didn't know they weren't the same until i watched flight of the conchords. now i view them as distinctly different accents.

as to which i prefer, i would say aussie. although an attractive girl from either country would make me very excited to listen for hours.

or any 'big' sheelah from anywhere actually...

There is NOTHING hot about having an aussie accent. Fuck, there are more aussies here in whistler than canadians, it gets a little annoying.
 
Yup, Whistler is pretty Aussie. I dig the accent, though, it's a patois that makes you feel relaxed.

The N.Z. accent is very similar but somehow 'sharper' sounding.

 
i can't stand it when aussies have the intense whiney sound, holy shit thats annoying, but us kiwis do sounds like drongos sometimes. watch outrageous fortune, best kiwi show ever.
 
i can tell an british accent from an aussie accent from a new zealand accent from a south african accent booya!!!

i think alot of british and aussie people would be annoyed if you couldnt tell them apart.

especially around the summer test series. hehehehe.
 
i swear 1/2 of you are have OZ and kiwi accents mixed up. its the Kiwis that say 6 as sex. and Fish and Chips as feesh and chups.. aussie is way better. has less sheep bread into it.
 
if you are refering to a particular post by toominator, hes a kiwi.

and he knows that he says "sex" instead of "six" and "fush and chups" instead of "fish and chips"

he just thinks that i (aussie) say it all around the other way.

its the sheep that got bred into him. poor kid.
