yeah. once girls hit grade 9 they all turn to the older guys.... untill they're like 30. then everyone's about on an even playing field..... sucks don't it?

I don't really know where all of this starts but women usually say it's about maturity.... I'm more mature than some 28 year olds that I know. And most guys can be mature but only when their not with their friends because immaturity is fun.

I never really get the 'girls are more mature' thing I know a buch of girls that when you get to know em are about the same as most guys, they just hide it at first. Wouldn't that show that guys are then more open? And wouldn't that be a good thing?

you are wise Taylor. See there's this whole thing that really screws us younger guys over.

It's called appearance (and/or wealth). guys generally look their age or younger. Girls (at this stage) look or try to look older. So what's the real benefit of a girl going out with a guy that's younger than her? He's got no car, no money, no freedom, usually better looking and most of the time, more mature. so there's way more reason for her to go out with someone older than her.

Unless he's got incredible wit and can sweep her off her feet... *looks around* hmm I don't see anyone else in this room so I must be talking about myself.

Theres a forlua as to how old you can date a girl. You take your age, divide it in half and add 7. So if you were 20, you could date a 17 year old, not any younger. I guess it would be the opposite for girls.

i've heard that before nine milla and i totally agree on that one...messing w/kids who're way younger than you is wrong and can mess people up badly...until a lot later in life of course (like ya think a 50 year old going out w/a 30 year old...they'd understand)

Ya, and its so wiered to be with a girl who is older than you too. I was with a girl who was 20 this year and I'm 19, and at first it was sooo weired, but after a while I kinda forgot about it.

Yah, i don't think age matter's to an extent. As long as you truly care about each other, and get along very well, it is all good. But you do have to draw the line. Like a 30 year old with an 18 year old is whack.

The only time the age difference really sucks is when you are over 21 and your girlfriend isn't so you can't go to bars and some clubs together

At my age (17) the age thing can play a big role, like i wouldnt date anyone 2 years younger than me, becuz i doubt i would make the connection with them and it would just be stupid, but later in life 5 years could be just the same as a day. And with that whole girls mature faster than guys thing that is purely physical because a lot of girls i know are just as immature as i am or worse i think its just a stupid stereotype that will never go away

age is overrated. the half your age than add 7 rule is about as specific as it should get for who you can and can't do stuff with.
