Hot waxing with rub on wax?

Ok, so about a month ago I got waxed my skis with GNU TSC wax, when I got it I didn't have an iron and thought the box said you could use it rub on or hot wax. Although of this I through out the box and can't remember exactly. Does anyone have any information on this wax and if it is run on would it have damaged my skis? Thanks.
 
Some are either / or. Obviously you will get a better result with a hot wax but it shouldn't matter that much.
 
rub on wax wont damage you skis so you're good. All you have to do to take it off is (if its not off already) hot scrape it and apply a fresh layer. Im not saying you have to do this though, I use fluro wax as rub on sometimes and just keep a little chunk in my pocket for days when if feeling a bit slow.
