It's a good thing it was free, that's for sure.
I feel like people need to take this movie for what it is: a glorified trip montage. People on this site have been saying that this movie is the best ever, is revolutionary, is like a snowboard movie...
Take a look at what you're actually watching: a bunch of guys on a trip having fun, sketchily filming (the majority of which being long-lens follows) the random shit they do. This is not revolutionary. The only reason it is seen as such is because it was introduced to us as "the joystick movie" and was delayed and hyped to the point that no one even cared what they were watching by the time it came out.
I enjoyed watching Hot Lunch like I would watching any edit with some decent skiing peppered throughout. And I liked the music. And it had its moments, like a reasonably good edit should. But don't try to tell me that it's the knees or something.
