Hosting a L1P premiere

Allright so Big-Punisher said in a thread that we could get premieres anywhere we wanted so I asked him if Vancouver could be done, and he messaged me with how to do it and stuff like that... So it'd be 300 bucks US for the movie and rights of showing, and quite a lot of schwag from what I understood. Some benefits could be made, depending on how many ppl would come and how much the tickets would cost...($9 bucks a tick=42 ppl needed to cover up the costs, + location of a theater or bar or w/e...). Well I don't have 300 bucks right now, but I could possibly have them sometime soon, or I was thinking to share the costs and benefits with a few ppl. So just wondering how many ppl came to yearbook for example, and if anyone was interested in taking this opportunity...

see if you can work something out with one of the local film companies. split a venue or whatever

A bar MIGHT do it if they thought they could make some cash off it. But I don't see it being worth their while, because they'd need over 50 people at a $10 admission to make it at all worthwhile and I don't know that they'd get it in Van for L1P... we're not talking about MSP here. In Whistler, maybe. But I'm all for it if it can be pulled off.

 
whistler is more likely and a better idea...look into the longhorn or other places like that...just approach them and see what they have to say before you start serious planning and forking out of cash.

^^good assumption, I thought about that too, but I could always get the ridge like 2 years ago for MSP and PBP, no party or anything though so it'd be kinda lame I guess...

Do you have any idea how expensive the Ridge is to book? Didn't think so...

I may be renting the ridge .... or cenntenial...looking into a bunch of options. A theory3/PBP Premiere possibly plehouse/level 1///do a festival

anyways, I run a hip-hop Karaokee night in whistler that's just about to start in a couple

weeks, either at GLC, Moe Joes, Or Bills, depends on who offers the most $$
