Hostess is no more :(

Did you just say no fuckin' twinkies?!??

Fuck you in your tea-sipping ass. Zingers? Twinkies? THOSE LITTLE ORANGE CUPCAKES?!??

What's it like living such an empty existence??? Do you even have a reflection???

in my entire life I've only eaten one twinkie. I was drunk as fuck, and it made me throw up. Not too worried about this issue.

Yeah I think this is probably for the best. Did you know that twinkies aren't even cooked? Just all chemicals holding it together

So basically 18,000 employees decided to strike and instead of hostess meeting their demands they decided to close up shop and liquidate their assets. And now they all don't have jobs. Bad move union employees, bad move.

Well actually, Hostess has filed for I believe Chapter 11 what, twice already?

They weren't in good financial shape, and their worker situation just pushed it right over the edge. Talk about biting off your nose to spite your face though, eh? Yeah, let's strike- we know our company is riding the edge, but yeah, let's demand more. That'll work.

It's sad, really. That's a ton of jobs.

There is only one Hostess product that I will miss:

And even then, I don't think I have bought one of those in over two years.

Now if Little Debbie went under and I couldn't get my Christmas Tree Cakes I would be CRUSHED.

There's a hostess store in my home town, I was conveniently going home for the weekend.STOCK UP ON EVERYTHING.

Actually it was only the bakers union (which represents only 30% of all the unionized workers) who decided to strike and not negotiate. The teamsters union agreed to the new contract and continued to work. So the bakers union went on strike to not only spite themselves but the other unions as well.

A murder rampage starring myself would ensue shortly thereafter if Little Debbie went under.

"Hostess will move to sell its assets to the highest bidder. That could mean new life for some of its most popular products, which could be scooped up at auction and attached to products from other companies."

take note Debbie, the twinkies can finally be yours

So I went to the store, which is tiny by the way. I get there with my 12 year old sister and the entire parking lot was completely full. We walk in the store and the place is pretty much half empty. My mom had also told me to pick up some stuff for their house here and my house at college. My sister and I start walking around and notice some things..... like ALL THE TWINKIES are gone and the ho ho's and the ding dongs and then snoballs. There was literally one cherry fruit pie left (which of course I bought). It was quite possibly one of the funniest things ever. While we were there some guy came in and grabbed all of the boxes of chocolate zingers, all of them. And then I saw them, the donettes, I totally forget they were owned by hostess..... so I may or may not have stocked up on the chocolate and powdered sugar ones....583174.jpeg583175.jpeg

I may or may not have bought a lot....

you guys are insane if you've never had a twinkie. I eat maybe one a year, or even less, because I know they're not good for me but they're so delicious!

Here's a bit of trivia-- what was the original flavoring inside twinkies? Don't use google.

I'm going to stop by a gas station and buy them out of twinkies. Then save them in my home for when they're selling for $10/piece on ebay. They never go bad you know. You could put one in a time capsule and 30 years later it would taste the same.

I just have a feeling that original hostess twinkies will be selling on ebay once all the stores sell out. I just bought 15 boxes online.

as of tomorrow i will be exporting Canadian Twinkies to America. They will be sold individually @ $30 each + shipping. if you buy 5 ill give you $3 off.PM me for orders

watch, now there will be a zombie apocalypse and the cure will be found in twinkies.

what have we done to ourselves

hmmm, this may be a good business venture. add Kinder Surprises and Smarties to the menu and I think you're on to something.
