Hostels Near Aspen

does anybody know of any hostels near aspen or any other lodging that would be remarkably cheap? me and a few friends need help finding some place to stay for a few nights....
 
Theres a hotel in glenwood across the street from the "largest hotspring in the world" next to i 70... I forget what its called now but it has 5 floors and minimal security. On the fifth floor the end of the hallway has a little room that you can crash in... No one will see you if you sleep in the corner, and its nicely carpeted.. Got me and three kids through a night in aspen during the '07 x games... We probably would have died if we tried to spend the night in my car, which was the original plan. Coldest night of my life, my muscles killed the next few days from shivering...
 
shit no im not from europe, i forget which resort i was at but i was talking to this guuy and he said that instead of paying wahtever we were paying for the hotel it would be a shit ton cheaper to stay at this type of hostel place.... i guess im just looking for somewhere hella cheap to spend a week in aspen....
 
St Moritz Lodge its as close as you'll get i think they got hostel style rooms for about $25 a night but probably gone up that was about 3 years ago i stayed there
 
so true!you will be lucky to get a room in aspen for $100 a night, but check basalt it is about a 20min drive and is way cheaper. good luck
 
if you don't have a LOT of money and/or know someone that lives there, you'll be hardpressed to find a place. good luck.
