just producing? i just looked at it real quick, didn't read into it much. either way, if tarantino's involved, you know it'll rock.
 
kill bill was so kickass, both of them were so excellent. and sin city was incredible with tarantino as a guest director.
 
kill bill was awesome, pulpfiction was a masterpiece, sincity, although he wasn't the head producer, the part he did direct was ill. i'm definately seeing this movie.
 
yo the advertisement says at a pre-release screening his new movie caused people to faint and go into shock etc. and they had to call ambulances due to the graphic, barbaric realism of the film....that's insane
 
its like 5 million times more gory then SAW!!!! holy shit, I could barley stand that movie. probably the most gory mobie I have ever seen for sure.
 
i think this is totally lame. to me it is just using quentin tarantinos name to build up other movies. quentin tarantinos strengths are scriptwriting and directing. producing it basically means all he really did was fund it. IT ISN'T BY HIM, IT ISN'T A QUENTIN TARANTINO FILM.
 
unfortunately when all you fucks see it, it allows the movie to generate a shit load of money. partly because they heavily emphasized the use of tarantino as a producer (which as mentioned means he funded, it was a completely different director Eli Roth, who made that horrid Cabin Fever. He (Roth) is trying to establish himself as a pinnacle in horror movies. the only way to do that is just to have no control), much like a movie goes on with the whole "based on a true story" bullshit (save a few). but because this set a "new standard" then more movies, equally or more shitty than Hostel will be released.
 
a friend of mine just got back from watching it and he said your just kinda numb by the end of it. first part is apparently some good porn and then it's just blood and guts to the max. he said he was kinda disappointed because the plot sucked and it was just a shocker film... i prefer movies that can fuck you up with just the plot and not the damn special effects - seriously i think it's getting kinda outta control.
 
it's not that goery, they cut away right when the good stuff happens. It's ok, as far as a movie goes, the charaters are all shitty people who I could not form a connection with. the acting was alright, and the make up/gore effects were pretty good. the best part of theis film is the sound design, mostly the foley, sounds of metal and chainsaws ripping was good. The plot is kind of lame, there isn't much comic relief. Not as gross as I expected or wanted. maybee the directors cut dvd will be better. It's probably not worth seeing all in all though. for what it's trying to be it just doesn't cut it. I wish i had seen grandma's boy instead.
 
Oh come on... can you actually say that with a straight face? "Saw was better than Seven?". Unreal. For those who prefer no originality, and straight forward plots, yeah... Saw was better. By the way, Cay Elwes is a monstrous pussy. He ruined the movie for me. He needs to stick to such cinematic masterpieces as "Robin Hood Men in Tights"
