Horseshoe '05?

A friend of mine has access to one of thoes time-share dealy's, so we plan on hitting up Horseshow this winter a few times...

I was there last march, and I must honestly say it was very disappointing as far as a park goes. I'm not sure if it was just the time of year, or what, but 'big' table was completely hagggered, and the other two tables, were no more than 4 ft high.

I was hoping that someone might be able to enlighten me as to what Horshoe Valley might have to offer as far as park goes for the upcomming season.

Thanks.

Horseshoe's park isnt great, and thier rails are retarted. They ahve this one kink to flat that i swear goes down at a 80 degree angle. Its just not right!

Thier jumps dont get any better than what you saw.

Yeah, I wasn't very good at rails during the season (never really attampted many), but was looking to have a week on them. As son as I saw what they had, i thought it was the worst setup.

I don't mean to bash the hill, it's really a great, clean, fun envioronment in and around the village and everyone in the park is always super stoked, but thoes rails were baout 5ft min. off the ground when I was there, and exactly how you said, on an 80-degree slope.

I was hoing that somone with the right connestions might be able to fix this (assuming they saw the post).

sorry to tell you but unless horseshoe makes major changes to their park, they're gonna have a hell of a time the next few seasons.

i get up to horseshoe maybe once or twice a year but i've never been impressed. compared to other hills, i just find that the place is boring and that their park really sucks the big one.

hope to see them add on to their current setup cause they really need to

Horseshoe has so much going for them as far as revinue and altitude of the hill. There is no shortage in either department. Thus, these are some things I'd liek to see them get (wheather or not they do isn't my decision);

- a pipe

- bigger jumps

- lower, more do-able rails

- more boxes (a c specifically)

- a spine or two

That might sound liek a lot, but it really isn't.

Come ride the Glen boys and girls ...

nice long 12ft pipe, two parks ... an intermediate with low boxes still enjoyable by more experienced riders as well as our main park with a cboc, huge booter, smaller table, kink, battleship and some press boxes .. as well as a shotgun ...

This isn't a promo .. i just design our park so it'd be cool if you guys rode it, dug it, and had new ideas ...

Last time I was there the walls were about 6 feet high and you could not have a 12 foot pipe because you don’t have proper equipment to cut a 12 foot pipe. But you do have some fun rails to play on. And the Glens members my be the best out of any privet club in the area.

After once trying to fix the park at Horseshoe, I can say it will probably be a little while before it gets decent. Their 'park groomer' is a boarder who sucks and the rails that were provided to them by a certain 'big name' company were pieces of shit (not built right, the wrong material etc). And in terms of their pipe. There are plans to build a new superpipe, but they will need to purchase a bigger pipe dragon. If you don't know, Horseshoe split last year with Shell (they put a lot of money into the resort..ie Carriage Hills), so things may be tight for the next couple years.

When I was there last marke, the pipe was one complete ice patch. 3ft up the walls was liek a skating rink, so needless to say, i ddint ride it.

I cood never do anything there unless I could smoke a joint.

It dose'nt matter what time of the year you go to Horseshoe there park and pipe aways sucks and it always will.Horseshoe sucks.Don't waist your your time and money at Horseshoe. Go to Blue Mountain or Mt. stloui Moonstone if you want a good park to ride.

huh? so what's going on @ horseshoe? so is carriage hills part of horseshoe now or shell (now that the two have split?) this is hilarious cuz carriage hills was sold to people on the understanding that owners would be able to do a whole time share vacation type thing anywhere they want. so now does it mean that people who have time shares at carriage hills can only time share at carriage hills? sheeeeeet...people should get a Blue Mountain timeshare...that'd be freaking awesome.

Yo i work at Horseshoe and actually tryed to get park ranger this year but they gave it back to the same lame ass boarder that they do every year. he talks alot of shit and is to lazy to actually do something productive in the park there. However, i myself have started to volunteer my time to make and set the park right. its shit right now but im waitin on more snow, we got rid of al lthe crapp west 49 rails and have started putting in some decent ones. 25 foot triple straight bar, 20 foot flat press box, 25 foot flat to kink press box, pushin for a c rail, making a tree ride. the jumps are still crappy but im working on them, and there is a new run which will have some rails on and a quarter pipe. as for the half pipe, its shit and always will be shit, but there is talk about making it into a super pipe soon... private message me for more details. it's no MSLM or Blue but im trying my hardest

SKI OR DIE!!!!

I was at the shoe a few days ago....because it was snowin' bad and we didn't make it to blue....ya that c rail is set up like a joke...u guys need to dig it out because u can't even land without getting your skiis stuck in the snow..the jumps are just so bad and the pipe....well don't even waste your time skiing there...oooh and the food sucked...but thats normal at all ski resorts....

i was there yestaurday (jan 4th) and i was told by an instructor that they were getting more rails and boxes (wasnt specific) a q pipe and a wall ride. Personaly i think it was bullshit. THere park wasnt the best either. They had one tripple barrel shotgun id say 25 feet, some like 10 foot piece of shit, and a box that you stuck to. Oh i forgot hte C that was set up quite shittaly and the battleship which wasnt suitable for skiers. Haha and the pipe. the walls wernt full and if you hit them you shot out of it. The first two hits were somewhat ok but shitty still. THe walls were small as hell and im saying the last half was like 6 feet high maybe.

damn right.
