this post is for 2 things, 1. to figure out that song 2. to give mike hornbeck internet props on the most well rounded segment in turbo. BC booters, giant rail gaps, urban and park all with consistent style and tech, nice work buddy. I watched Turbo for the like 30th time last night and his seg always stands out.

lol i made a thread on this a while back but yea i really like his style it impresses me every time I watch him

ya that was definitely my favorite segment on Turbo. i loved T-Rain's and T-Wall's though also. Really glad i decided to buy that movie this year.

too bad he dosnt put his goggles back on mid double back ...

LOL

anyway hornbecks segment is definatly one of the most well rounded

I agree that Rainville's segment was amazing, it didn't have a single rail in it. A lot of people have started meaning "well rounded" as lots of backcountry since that's all the rage at the moment, but I think rails (both urban and park) are still a significant part of our sport.

hornbeck had no and urban being a big part of our sport is debatable.

and since when WASN'T was all the rage? it's been a huge part of every ski movie since...ever. urban is getting big now for sure, but I don't appreciate it as much as a bc one just because of where I live and what kind of skiing I do.

both were dope...I watch rainville's for the good vibes and the fun and the amazing shots, I watch hornbeck's to get stoked. two different kinds of segments I guess.

It's fair enough that you don't appreciate urban but that doesn't mean that it isn't a part of our sport. I don't think one aspect of our sport (pow) should be considered more important than another (rails) when calling someone "well rounded".

Hornbeck pretty much slayed urban, park rails, park jumps and backcountry jumps. Rainville's mostly falls into park jumps, powder skiing and minigolf, with a couple of pretty standard big mountain shots.

I agree with you to some extent, I'm really just trying to provoke some thought here for what a truly rounded skier is - someone who does all aspects of our sport. Urban, powder, BC jumps, real big mountain, park, moguls, creative jibs, pipe, racing, rails, cliffs.. It's all part of it.

Tom Wallisch had the best segment(s) in Turbo in my mind. He's absurd. I'm totally getting on the bandwagon after watching that ridiculous riding. Absurd. Plus, crystal castles/HEALTH love.

The second Pharaoh Monche album is pretty fucking rad. There are a couple awesome bangers on there.

I see where you're coming from. and btw there were more BC booters than park jumps for rainville I'm pretty sure...

but like I said, both are sick but different. so yeah. I have my opinion you have yours.
