Hope On the Slopes - Team Wrock3tships

I imagine Thomas has to email some kind of event coordinator and tell them to remove him. Though at this point it might be better to just show up and tell them you are Thomas O'Connel~

You'll need to get some ON3P's, some Jibberish and take photos the whole night.

But seriously, I think you have to contact Rowen to get his spot.

102 degree fever still, fuck yeah!

im gonna go ski 30in of pow at mission now, lets see how long i last till i puke/pass out

It's March 5th and 6th, but you scared me there for sure. I was like "wait what?".

So any ideas on how Saturday mornings going to be? There's a 100% chance I will not be at Stevens Sunday because of church shenanigans, but I'll be "at work" Saturday and ready to shred as much vertical feet as possible. Just trying to figure out where we'll be meeting, etc. because I'll have to escape from greeting people. Haha.

who else is incredibly excited for this?

Tony and I will be around tomorrow evening if anyone wants to get precancer beers.

So I'm thinking I'm just going to ski 24 hours straight without even doing hope on the slopes. I just don't want to pay money for a team or entering when I know I can't win $200 and be eligible for the prizes. Wish I knew about it earlier, then I could have raised $200 and been eligible to win that free season pass!

I advise everyone to show up early for registration. I plan on being in the upper (eastern most) lodge from 0830 untill 0900. Look for a white/brown sessions jacket. Also I might be going into the lodge circa 6:00pm to work on HW for a bit so if anyone is interested in how the determinant of the jacobian matrix effects the direction of a differential transformation your welcome to join me. I might switch over to studying the effects of various government policy on exchange rate and intrest rates, and the connection between those two rates. Queers who wish to sleep can do so in the pacific crest lodge. lodge

You won't be able to get through the gates after 10pm unless you registered with a team or as an individual~

You have to register for HOTS to keep skiing after 10pm. Not only do you have to register, you have to go and get your pass rescanned so that it is modified to work after dark.

As Billy said, get there early, register early, and get all checked out and good to go ASAP - the office last year closed at 2 or something and it was impossible for some of us to get our passes to work on the RFID things, needed to get a host to let us through and explain to every liftie what was up. Hopefully its been changed so that its easier, but I doubt it.

Thomas and David, you guys are filling blank spots on the team, but we should have room right now for one more if you want to ski (we have 14 I think, limit is 15 a team). If you want to come ski tomorrow, shoot me a PM, I'll try to get a hold of Thomas and David and get them to give the registration office a call and remove themselves from the team.

Hope on the Slopes was fun, you guys are awesome. Seriously so hilarious! It was amazing meeting most of you :) We'll have to shred some more times!

hahah our group blew it. we tried to take a nap from 12-2 and when we woke up in our freezing cars no one wanted to get back out hahaha.

too true.

Big props to Scott for skiing as long as he did. For the record, Scott skied until 9:30am, including a few hikes, a night time BC run, and putting up with Grant and Myself.

Grant also skied like a champ. Jonas, I'm disappointed.

I only lasted until 3:30 a.m. Team Wrock3tships I am sorry I failed you.

p.s. thanks for letting me join the team even though I never saw any of you guys haha

Billy definitely skied the best line, over grant and into a treewell.

How long did you ski for billy? I was skiing with Scott and he went looking for you guys as it didnt seem that you guys were out there. Everyone was gone and just skiing big chief by yourself gets boring..and my friend ben lost his pass so we just headed out instead of trying to sleep in the lodge or car or whatever.

I lasted until 4:30, when I went in. Grant and I were simply partaking in activities that are not suited for minors such as yourself. We were out there.

I had an absolute blast until about 7am. Then it started to suck.

Highlights included

1. Grace Lakes in the dark with no headlamps (extreme traversing)

2. Skiing through the trees with sparklers to light our way, also lady with loudspeaker yelling "NO SKIING IN THE TREES".

3. Introducing grant and myself by saying "We are the biggest fucknut retard assholes on this mountain" and listening to people's reactions.

4. Skiing chairline with sparklers, grant hits tree and falls, billy crashes into him and falls into tree well upside down. Instead of helping him we hold sparklers over him and yell to the people on the chair "Look at this fuckin retard, falls in a tree well. What an idiot". Then getting people on the chair to chant "billy! billy! billy!".

5. Met some girl on the chair, shares boos with us and then asks us to toast to her grandpa which she lost to cancer last month. We ski down screaming her granpa's name and she cries a bit. Pretty daawww.

6. Meeting team dildohead.

7. Watching grant beat the racers by sitting on his tails...

etc~

Aww man you PNWers seem so freakin' cool!

I figured I'd check out these regionals because I'm making tentative plans to visit my roommate out in Seattle next March - would love to meet up with some of you guys, beers on me!
