Just to get an idea, who is interesting in forming Team Newschoolers?

Last year, HOTS proved to be the best two days of skiing I've ever had. Let's hope this year will be even more epic.

This year I do not have the money to pay the team fee by myself, so I believe we will be having david collect donations from people and just have it go to paying the create a team fee ($150) or something. David will be collecting it since hes nice and trustworthy and im mean and most of you would probably think I was scamming you. After the team is formed then anyone will be able to join, with of course the people who gave money towards the team fee taking first priority. Last year Team Newschoolers was a powder slaying juggernaut, and I think most of us agree that it was one of the best weekends ever spent on skis (or just in general).

Also since im lazy I copy pasted the description I posted last year, same stuff pretty much applies.

The basic concept behind this event is gather donations in the name of

skiing for the American Cancer Society. It also doubles as a vertical

challenge where you tag the amount of runs youve taken and they record

the amount of vert youve racked up. Theres only a couple prizes and

the team needs to raise quite a bit of money (more than I expect to

get) but it can be a real fun thing to do. You ski all night from

saturday morning to sunday morning (if you choose to).

In the past NS has had a couple members participate (Me, Will,

Shreddingthegnar etc) but this year I will be forming Team Newschoolers

in order to spur more involvment. We all realize that times

are tough, but I am hard pressed to think of a better cause. With the

ACS you know your money is being well spent and making a real impact. I

dont have high goals for money raised, id just like to get everyone

together, raise some money, and have a good time.

This is also going to double as an NS member gathering weekend. We

talked about this last year but this year id really like to get a

strong group of NSers to come together and hopefully we can meet all of

the people we have been chatting with all this time, obviously a lot of

us already know eachother, but fuck yeah for washington, always good to

meet more people. So even if you are not planning on joining in on HoTS

I hope that you can come up and shred.

so if the team fee is 150, then all we need is 6 people to make it 25 each, which im sure we can all do.
 
Yes, collaborating with other teams sounds great.

Be sure to get your pass registered. If it dumps again, you need it so that you can be out in the morning while everyone else stands in line waiting.

I'm thinking more along the lines of 15 members who all throw in $10 bucks. the ON3P factory guys (Scott, Sam, and Rowen) may be joining us as well.
 
i might be interested, and a number of my friends would probably be too (they're NSers)

i was there when it was going on two years ago for a school trip and it looked really fun.
 
Also Team Newschoolers will be provided with anabolic steroids because WE NEED TO FUCKING WIN THE COMPETITION AND WE ARE SUPER FUCKING SERIOUS FUCK!!!!111~
 
Just a quick official Hope on the Slopes Update:

No bud will be allowed. It is bad for your health and smells somewhat similar to skunks.

On the other hand, multiple types of anabolic steroids will be passed out in the days preceding the event. Everyone is also advised to go through blood doping procedures and focus intensely on their triceps.
 
I would love to participate, however it is not clear whether I will be skiing anymore this season.

With that in mind there may become a plethora of really sick, and awesome and bad ass, and other cool describing words of gear for sale soon, in order to fund my defense against the combined zombie/hippie/communist invasion.

but I probably won't be able to bring my self to part with most of it, so the zombies/hippies/commies amongst you are safe for meow.
 
im down for a team NS. if we got a team of peeps we would for sure win whataver kind of comp there was (is there most laps ect.?)
 
Its the most vertical feet. I really doubt we will have any trouble filling a team. Im actually wondering if we would need 2 teams, or if the blue vaginas can just take the rest of them~
 
i was, while carrying another board, which was brand new, so it had sharp ass edges. and it hit my kknee. through snowpants and shorts and underwarmers. and an inch or so into my knee. fucking wind.
 
oooo ouch. last year the saturday was so windy and cold then once about 6 hit the wind stopped and it dumpped ALLL night then the next day was a bluebird pow day.
best shot i had were bigcheif at 430 am
 
I might be snowbaording for fun after all the other lifts close(10PM or whatever, till the next day when they open everything again), and if my shin is still hurting(it's not shin bang) then snowboard boots would be more comfy!

Also, amphetamines for the win!

Thomas, are you already in a group and is it full yet?
 
Scott, David. I'm in. You just try and log as much vertical as you can? like just rip groomers?
We should get a ON3P team going. Have to be on ON3P's to join. Scott you can borrow a pair of Davids, everyone else buy some.
