what's usually going down at that comp? i'd like to take part just coz i'll be up there for the weekend, and i would like to get some competeing under my belt, mostly for fun. is it worth going into with 7s? also i'll be up there all week, so i'll learn new stuff, prolly a 9 (cant do them at pine knob without bigger jumps...) so what do you guys think? any imput? is it even worth going to?

do it just for the experience. competing is fun, and i bet you would learn a 9 during the comp. comps are one of the best ways to push you.

the course is laid out on paper and being finalized for all the formalities and insurance etc. I will try to get the sketch up here posted. and pics of the real deal by the 23rd

Not a big enough jump at Pine Knob to 9??? There is no jump at either of the boynes or nubs that is any bigger than Knob's middle hit.

I don't know what Pine Knob you ski at but I used to throw them off the small jumps they had 4 years ago. obviously w/ no grab and pencil style but still.

^ this is my first year in michigan so i dont know what the old jumps look like.

i suppose i could do them at pine knob but i dont spin really fast, so i dn

plus last time i was there (last weekend) the middle hit was really sketchy, although the weekend before was actually quite nice
