Well the Midwest Extremes was pushed back a whole week so now everyone can go to both, the Hoot on Feb 7th, and the Midwest Extremes on Feb 13th. The Hoot is at Boyne Mtn, and the Extremes is at Marquette Mtn, who's all in!??!

Not to talk shit or anything, but I really dont think Dane is going to win......a cork 9 will not win this one....at least it had better not

Dane won the shuss huck fin with a corked 7, dane won his swiss valley big air with a corked 9, dane won the bittersweet big air with a corked 9, dane got 2nd at cannonsburg huck fin with a corked 9. anyone seeing a trend here? at the huck fin at mt.brighton, the jump was less than 10 feet of flats, kinda lippy, but still, the smallest big air jump i have ever seen on it, dan was throwing corked 9's, on a jump that a 10 foot flat rail wouldn't even fit on, good corks, but show your talent in the form of a trick other than a cork. danes a talented skier, but he is in for a rude awakening at the Hoot En Any, a corked 9 will not win that comp. don't think im being a badass or a cock, because i wont even advance to the finals at the hoot en any, but i think i speak for a lot of people when i say that skiing shouldn't go in that direction, kids shouldn't throw the same trick every weekend, all season long.

im with lane. theres a lot of kids who need to learn more than one trick. dane has a nice cork 9 and thats about it. kind of sad

 
I agree, i think he will be a bit blown away by Ben Anderson and Steve Shelby.....they blow me everyday....literally...

i like steve, he is a good person, ben is a really good person also, today ben and steve were throwin down, steve was doing switch cork 9 reverse true tails off the 65 footer, ben was throwing rodeo 7's with a tele-tweak grab on tele-mark skis, twas a good time

I've never seen Dane ski.

I water ramp with him in the summer, and in the winter our parents communicate, and all I've heard about seems to be Dane doing very well.

So, I was just talking.

It's all good. You just have to realize the judging here......it's questionable...Dane is a good kid, I like him, but it seems he;s unreasonably lucky haha

I happened to be at Boyne during the Hootanny comp and caught most of the action. I got interested in this stuff since my nephew got into it. Based on what you guys said, especially lanek*** you guys didn't give this kid named Dane much of a chance. Apparently he kicked some ass since I heard he won. It sounds like he may not have a big back of tricks but what he does do he does pretty damn well. I bring this up only cause I saw this kid Dane again at the Vermont open, since my nephew was competing. My nephew didn't make it into the semi-final round but this kid Dane did. He didn't make it into the final round but this kid, according to some smarter freeskiing guys who were watching with me,cranked out a switch bio 1080 which he landed and then lost his balance and fell. Sounds like he is starting to crank out some heavy duty stuff. Oh well, I got a lot of respect for all of you guys that do this. You guys are insane.

 
Dane isn't on here, so i'll update you all on him.

he competed in the VT open.

fell on his switch bio 1080.

he can cork, switch misty, swtich bio, underflip, etc....he has more than one trick
