Hoodoo?

I know its lame, but willamette isn't open, and its close. Anyone else going to be there tommorow on opening day? Im bringing a few friends, and its going to be a party. Since nobody will be there and they arent opening the upper mountain, there will be some good pow. If anyone is showing we should meet up.
 
Hoodoo's really not that good for pow. It's usually really wet because of it's low elevation. But you can sneak some decent days in there. I got one last year early in january. It was dumping there.
 
you guys missed out. the storm came in pretty cold and nobody was there. who gives a shit if it is hoodoo if you have first tracks down the middle of the runs for the first 10 runs on 8 inches of fresh. It was 15 out and nuked all day. 10 more inches while i was there. i didn't even have to go into the trees till after lunch.
 
Friday was sick actually, it had snowed at least an inch the night before and continued all through the day. Tree skiing wasnt a problem. Went again Saturday and it was sunny, not much snowfall over the night. Had to mostly stick around the groomers cuz the ungroomed was gettin choppy/icy. Of course there was no park yet. Not bad for opening weekend in November.
 
i have never had a bad time when i ride hoodoo, it has some of the funnest stashes and jump spots in oregon if you know where to look. a ton of the shots we get are from there.
 
I grew up skiing there as well, and it can definitely be fun when the snow is good, fresh tracks all day long and no lines
