Hoodcrew beef with Stept.

So stupid. The trailer was just supposed to be an epic, theatrical suspenseful trailer, they go out and hit the gnarliest shit ever for our enjoyment, and of course they have fun doing it or they wouldn't.
 
I support hoodcrew. Like honestly the Mutiny trailer was a huge let down, all they did was bitch and complain about their injuries like honestly nobody wants to see that shit. They had great cinematography but their urban segments are NOTHING compared to the segments in freed the streets.

In freed the streets 5:48 , A4 i believe early offs a 20 foot building rainbow rail straight done to flat concrete and he doesnt take to opportunity to bitch about what its like to make a ski movie and injuries

all he said was when asked about being hurt was "yeah, we chillin"

im just saying sure mutiny will have better cinematography and special effects but hoodcrew is much better than mutiny given that its rail segments are amazing, the skiers are not getting paid, they have fun and dont bitch and do it for the love of the sport

I love the stept movies, and the urban they do it ridiculous. But I will say in all of their films they completely glorify the scenes of injuries and surgeries. I'm pretty sure Charlie Owens has destroyed himself in some way the past 3-4 films they put out. So I agree with hoodcrew on the whole skiing shouldn't be viewed as a horror flick thing.

 
like anything, skiing needs variety or else it would SUCK. Therefore, I'm pumped for the stept movie

BUT... I was surprised after watching the trailer because it's not what I was expecting...It didn't get me pumped to go ski, but neither did Like a Lion or Few Words, both of which were great.

Just because I thought the trailer was funny, doesn't mean I don't like Stept and am not stoked for the movie....and I'm sure hoodcrew would agree

I think stept is bringing something new to the skifilm industry, and it's possible that other major film companies open their eyes for skiing. I think it's not impossible that we will see skiing in big featurefilms in the future.

When someone does something new and different, it's pretty common to get some hate. Skifilms has been stuck for about 10 years, so something fresh is on point, and really about frickin' time.

Imo Stept is bringing something to skiing that iv been waithing for a long time! Im stoked as fuck to see the finished film.

 
I'm not sure what ski movies you've been watching but I've seen many that claim they tell a story that have come up way way way way way way short. Because of that, sure, it's cool Stept is about to tell an actual story about urban, but I'll believe it when I watch the movie it.

Of course it's good to see variety in ski movies, so the hype of their favorite crew lives a legacy, like the movie "Wicked" by SAS Films, for example. They had so many good skiers in that movie, some of them are, in fact, still filming and/or still sponsored. While the rest, are out of the limelight, like Travis Heed for example. IMO I thought "Freed the Streets" was a good movie with people having fun and showing the fun side of skiing. Stept is showing a gnarly side of skiing with its ups and downs.
 
indeed."Being there" is the most entertaining ski-documentary i have watched. Loved the part when alex pop'd his shoulder, and boom we got an exciting story in a bigjump shoot. But it didn't had a red thread trough the whole film.

Matchstick allways let us think they will make a docu, but it's allways edits with some talking inbetween segs, and not really a red thread trough the whole film.

I tought "The 86" was going to be more of a documentary from the look of the trailer, than it really was.

If "Mutiny" will be more of a seg movie, the skiing would make it entertaining as fuck anyway, like "The 86" was.

Gonna buy it anyway, but it would be dope if it's something new and fresh:)

 
Ha, I wouldn't really call it "big things", but I tend to not waste time with those wasting mods & members time. He was warned. He was banned. And then he was banned three more times. At some point enough is enough.

Hood Crew goes just as hard if not harder then anyone else in skiing. Granted they might not understand where Stept is coming from but they kill it just as hard. and make some good ponits.

Stept is at least well established and have some incentives to almost kill them self's every time they ski. Fuck Hood Crew kids hardly get fucking skis.

Hood Crew to the world and fuck the haters.

I still a big Stept fan and will be buying the movie.
