Hey I am thinking about driving from Maine to Mount Hood this summer. I was wondering if anyone knows of any part time jobs available in the Hood area. Plus what is the cheapest way to live out there cause Im fresh outta high school and have no money. Can you like live in a tent by the river or something? Do people actually do that? Is it worth goin to Hood with the conditions? Anyways I pretty much need all the info I can get on this so I can go out there for like a couple of months.

good luck gettin a job...everyone wants to work there in the summer. Think about it, huge skateparks everywhere, a sweet exit real world shop, little cops, companies comin in and throwin stuff out to crowds, progressive riders, good mexican food, little adult supervision. That place is heaven on earth. Nothin but a good time.

i was there last week and they gave me their list of hiring positions... theres like more than 30 so... yeah. lots

ya you might have better luck gettin a job in hood river, sandy or even Portland. about an hour, 45 minutes and 90 minutes away respectively from govt. camp.

I hope that some day we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people

Sick thanks guys if anyone wants to send me some job recomendations that would be sick.

you can get a job at timberline, there's a lot open, and there's always a ton of jobs in portland if you want to work in the city and drive to the mountain. check craigslist.org for portland jobs.

The Resort at the Mountain in Welches is hiring for summer help right now. And I have a 3 bdrm house for rent down there.....with pool and tennis court access. 10 minutes from Timberline, walking distance to The Resort.
