Hood summer lodging/tickets

Hey guys, i tried searching for summer ticket prices and lodging, but didn't really find much except for the fact that a summer pass costs $900. If there was a thread already made please let me know.

Anyways, Me, my Dad, and a few friends are trying to get to hood this summer for 7-9 days, but i am kinda lost on ticket prices as we'll as lodging. So my questions are how much are day tickets in the summer, the T-line website says that they cost $60 but i don't know if that will change for summer? Also, what are some cheap hotels/motels that are close to T-line? I went to hood a few years back for summer camp and i did see a few hotels on the way up, but i don't clearly remember. From my research i found that there was a best western and a few mom and pop motels, but i would like to find the cheapest/closest to hood.

Major karma for help!!!! Thanks guys!

"lodging"

lol. you have much to learn

He is going with his dad so why not live the baller lyffestyle and i believe day passes are 60 or 65 dollars.

Huckleberry inn has some good rooms, pretty cheap and there is a best western in government camp as well. Day tickets are what you see on the site $60.

The ultimate ball-out would be to get a room at Timberline Lodge, it will be spendy but its a cool experience for sure. That's obviously the closest place, but there's a Best Western down in Govy (10 minute drive to timberline) as well as a bunch of condos at Collins Lake Resort. The further you go from the mountain the cheaper it gets... theres another Best Western in Sandy (about 40 mins from hood) and a bunch of tiny motels along the way on hwy 26 that probably don't have websites. If you chose to camp instead, your dad is probably gonna want to be civilized about it and go to a campground. Trillium Lake is like 15 minutes from timberline, its usually like $20-$30 per night and has a sick view of the mountain.

It will definitely be cheaper than a summer pass to buy day tickets each day, they were $56 I think last summer so thats about $400-$500 total if you ski every day.

Alright guys thanks for all the responses! That the cleared up alot of things! And another question i have is if there are any shuttle services to the mountian from the

Hotels/motels? I know that is a long shot but i wouldnt want to pay extra to rent a car.

I think there is a shuttle? Not sure how it works but you'll probably need a car, I'd just count that in from the start. If you're with your dad it won't be expensive.

If you fly into PDX there's surely a bus that will get you into Sandy. From Sandy, take the Mt. Hood Express bus and you can get all the way to Timberline. The mt. hood express has like ten stops along the way (including two in govy), and its $2 every time you get on no matter how far you go.

Ya I have a friend staying there right now with his family and they really like the hotel. There's also The Resort at The Mountain for housing accommodations. Ya plenty of ways of transportation from Portland to Mt. Hood. The other day I rode all the way up to Mt. Hood from Sandy and all the way back into downtown Portland for only 5.50.

You can also rent out a condo. Its cheaper then a hotel in my opinion. I just payed 500$ for 4 people in a condo in govy . Also, there is simply no way to get a discounted ticket. Mondays are 2 for 1 I am pretty sure but thats about it.

The past 5 years I've stayed st "The Resort At The Mountain" in Welches. Its a 15-20 min bresthtaking drive up to TLine. I absolutely love that place!! If you or your dad golfs, its on a beautiful golf course surrounded by the mountains and Hood Ntl.Forest and the Salmon River.
