Hood or Bachelor?

Looking to take a trip somewhere new. Been to Utah a couple times and did the cottonwood canyon thing. Oregon seems to be calling my name this year. Can't decide between hood or bachelor. Help me out! Also, what are the conditions like mid february? Thanks in advance!

Mid Feb. should be good at both Mt.'s. Usually an awesome time.

Really you should do both as you can take a few hours to drive to either or.

If you get lucky you may have some awesome blue days.

If not.......enjoy the storm skiing.

Bachelor's backside on a blue powder day is something to write home about, but you need to get lucky.....or live there!

If I wasn't an Oregon Loc I would hit up both Hood and Bach in one trip, they are not too far from eachother (About 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic)

Bachelor=Good all around

Meadows= Best Terrain on Hood

Tline= Best Parks on Hood(Although Meadows is sending shots their way this year)

Skibooowl= PARTY and some badass steeps,chutes, and trees when the snow is good.

If you do Hood, then Meadows absolutely trumps Timberline. Bachelor always has good snow at that time, but chances are good that it will be wet and overcast too, with most of the mountain closed.

If you can play it by ear, then Bachelor. If you are planning for a specific weekend, then Meadows. You can get a good, cheap motel room in Hood River.
