Honeysuckle's Big Crash!

Two weekends ago a few friends and I went to Big Boulder for a day of shralping. Along with us came Honeysuckle.

Honeysuckle, yes that's his name, is originally from Korea and picked up freestyle skiing last year. I've never seen a kid so stoked on skiing and life in general. He literally skis as much as possible and is willing to pretty much huck himself as much as possible to learn radical new maneuvers.

So, we were skiing and for those who haven't been to Big Boulder, they built a massive kicker with side kickers.

All day we were joking about hitting it because, quite frankly, it was by far the biggest jump I have ever seen and there is no way in hell I would really hit it.

Eventually we made it over to the big jump and were thinking about hitting the smallest of the beasts. Some hoodrat drops in from where we were and went to hit the smaller kicker. He came up a few feet short so we figured as long as we didn't scrape speed, we could probably clear it.

My friend drops to get it on film, meanwhile my other friend and I tell Honeysuckle to hit the jump first. He's a few years younger than us so his legs can take knuckling a little easier than me.

"Alight man I'm probably gonna die."

"No way, it's really not that bad you already saw the other kid drop and he lived. The smaller jump really isnt that big"

So Honeysuckle drops, straightlines, dips below a roller, and then to our astonishment is in line with the big jump!!!

Sweet balls of fury he is pointing it right off the coma-inducing, skull crushing, bone slam kicker of death!

Well, as you can imagine, Honeysuckle went 10 feet up, only to drop 30 feet down. And instead of 80 feet, went about 40.

In that second I thought my day was over, but more importantly that my friend and I just killed poor Honeysuckle.

I felt paralyzed. I was just watching to see if he would ever get up. His knees buckled, goggles went flying, and his legs were in a twisted position not meant to be.

But sure enough, Honeysuckle, stood up, and skied away. Not even a scratch, and I saw him biking around campus only a few days after.

We never really figured out why he hit the big jump - maybe it was a translation failure, maybe he really thought we were right considering my friend and I have been skiing forever. We'll never know but at least he is still walking today.

Without further adieu here is the video my friend edited:

This is by far the funniest moment I have witnessed in my ski career.

It's hard to tell from the video but the kicker alone was at least 20 feet tall. Also everything always looks worse in real life, not video. Anyone who's seen or hit this jump would know

You aren't very nice friends. And honeysuckle isn't very intelligent when it comes to skiing and jumps.

It's like Joe's big fall, except the opposite. He just magically looses all his speed when he reaches the jump lol

You realize you live in a fucking retarded house if the top of your 2 story house is 20ft high right?

ok bud... the roof of a house with one floor above the ground level floor will generally be about 20 feet off the ground (i dont know where you live but we count our storeys from the ground level here). this isnt including the height for a raised foundation or for an attic with a peaked roof so just pretend it's a flat roof or the gutter height.

It took less than 20 posts for a thread about some dumb ass falling 10 ft. off a jump's lip into an argument about the height of roofs on different kinds of domiciles...

NS is full of retards.

The only reason I lost my shit watching that video is because the whole time I knew that this kids name is Honeyfuckingsuckle! Haha. He must get his dick wet on the daily solely because of his name.

why don't you guys just get together and measure house's? sounds like fun. Saga should make it a competition.

Jaja no we had no intentions for him to hit the big jump!

I left out another part of the story which would explain why this is even funnier.

Very first run of the day when he got there (we took two cars, so my friend and I had a few warm up runs before Honeysuckle showed up - he also went to the wrong mountain so was late), we skied down the run with the big jump.

Some kid sends it off the big kicker and everyone in our group just skied to the knuckle area to scope it out.

Well Honeysuckle comes flying out of no where and just hits the small kicker, comes up like 20 feet short and rides away like a G!

So later that day, we wanted Honeysuckle to hit it again since he already hit the small kicker. Somehow he thought we told him to hit the large kicker, and just sent it to his death!

Also another super funny part of our day -

We were skiing with some random Korean kid on a snowboard from our school. All day he had the biggest smiles and was just enjoying shredding. But he would try to hit rails with street lips, which everytime he wouldnt pop and just ended up taking diggers straight to his head. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere he just busts a frontflip off a jump and stomps the fuck out of it! Like this dude couldnt even hit jumps sometimes without falling before and then just busts out a flip and claims the piss out of it!
