It's 12:55 AM. I am going to be in school tomorrow from 7:10 AM to 9:10 PM. And I'm still awake. I was falling asleep in school today, falling asleep when I got home and when I was trying to do my work, and now I'm WIDE FUCKING AWAKE. I'll be up until 1:30, lying in bed thinking about nothing, and I'll get 5 hours of sleep tonight to last me 14 hours in school. And I have a test tomorrow. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes. Lately I've been staring at the ceiling from whenever I try to sleep until 4am. And I have to wake up at 7. It's shitty.

If you're having trouble sleeping check your medicine cabinet to see if you have any benadryl. It's the same thing they use in OTC sleep aids, Diphenhydramine. Take 100mg, or 4 regular benadryls. That should put you out in less than an hour and you won't get that groggy hungover feeling like you would with a more powerful prescription sleeping pill.

i couldn't sleep till 3 last night and had two tests today. Fuck im still awake and i have another tommorow

this always happens to me. i have two a days for swim and i can never fall asleep at night because im nervous about waking up for am practice... i just lie there and think about it...

Yea i have an accounting midterm tomo morning that i have an hour drive to get to, and i prob won't be able to fall asleep for anouther 2-3 hours...

All the time man, all the time... For example, yesterday i was awake till 3am and i had to go to school at 8:30am

BAM! Its called do physical activity in the day so your body has a reason to be tired, thus creating a routine that is healthy and sustainable.

Simple solution for sleeping at night... DONT SLEEP DURING THE DAY. it may be tough bceacsue it feels good to take a nap during school/when you get home but resist it for like 2 days in a row and youll be sleeping normally again. the same thing was happening to me like a month ago but now i fall asleep in like 10 minutes

NASA did a study that basically states that if you are in a positions where you need to think a lot during the day (such as being in school) It is easier and healthier to sleep 6 hours at night and to take a 2 hour nap mid day. However it must be 2 hours or the length of 1 sleep cycle (sleep cycle averages 2 hours).
Also, the bit about doing a physical activity is totally true.
For me though, i realized I was wasting sooo much time laying in bed. I decided to work until I was tired. Same for when I would randomly wake up at 6am. I would get up and do work for 2 hours till I was tired again. Eventually it got to the point where I was tired during the day, would take only a 2 hour nap would still be a little sleepy, do some sit ups or something to get the adreniline going and when I would go to bed I would be totally fine and fall asleep right away. I've become way more efficient too.
