Shut the hell up about why we have to progress to the backcountry or why people should quit being pussys and push it in the park. Seriously, just shut the hell up. We've heard every argument a hundred times. Just ski for yourself, do what you want to. You're not the almighty who knows exactly how skiing should be so quit trying to be
 
i agree with the spirit of this thread, but it's sort of depressing to have witnessed the birth of newschool skiing, when the people who were sneaking into terrain parks were sick all-around skiers, and then to look at the skiers in your average terrain park today. it's only natural that a division of labor emerged in freeskiing, and it's interesting to see what people who specialize in park skiing can do. but at the same time, it's weird to see people do cab 7s who can't make descent turns.
 
Honestly, just ski. Is it that much to ask? Skiing makes us all happy, why should we get bitchy about the minor details of it all...

And besides, its the offseason.
 
exactly people need to just ski how they want to and realise not everyone has to ski how they like to ski.

all the talk about where skiing should or shouldn't be going wouldn't be bad if it was actually a discussion. It's okay though, NS isn't as bad right now as everyone makes it out to be. Let's talk about how much fun skiing is.
 
there shouldn't even be a discussion about where skiing should go. it goes where it goes. if you are discussing it, you are forcing it. do what is fun, document it if you feel so inclined.
 
Why shouldn't skiing be discussed or "forced"? I like talking about skiing. I like talking about whether or not people will start doing switch pipe runs or kangaroo flips in the backcountry. Skiing will go where it goes whether or not we talk about it. Contrary to popular belief around here, our talk about skiing on NS is not what pushes skiing in a certain direction.
 
i see what you mean, and i like talking about that too, but then you realize that it is pointless and for lack of a better word(s) shallow or irrelevant. Theres comes a time when you dont give a fuck about that and ski what you want.

however, it can definitely be more entertaining than discussing politics or something like that

Skiing is fun, that's why I like it. I ski park cause it gives me something to do in my backyard and in the south.
 
Its one of the things i am alright at. Im not great, but i get better all the time, and have fun. Its also something to do with friends, adn to look forward to all summer
 
Well I'd never delete my account; I'd log on every now and then to post a Hungry Sloth edit or to hose pics or ask for film help in the cult, but enough of this forum bullshit.

Once production of Neon really starts up, Im going to be way too busy with work and school to waste my time telling some stupid kids over the internet to stop gossiping over this or that, or to quit being nit-picking at situations only to make themselves look more like a douche bag like Steve Carrel's character on The Office.
 
as far as i'm aware, every one here is here to talk about skiing, if you dont like the thread just dont read it, it is pretty standard
 
just cause we dont like what other people are doing with the sport doesnt mean we dont love doing it ourselves, maybe it means we like it even more because we care ?
 
people should stop to try provre their self to anybody and just ride for fun, stop trying to ski for sponsor, ski to have fun just do it... stop the war between shop were all together. peace

I love skiing becasue, its like a pokemon game, you keep moving on again and a gain, you keep getting set back on your gameboy but eventually you make it. As long as you don't let whatever bothers you on NS carry off the internet, then you're fine. Just ignore them.
