Just take all 12 superunknown finalists and make a movie. All of them are so talented and i think they all should win. Such a sick competetion this year. props to everyone who entered and made it thus far.
 
respect to all the superunknown competitors...its unbeleivable where kids are at these days. so sick, so young
 
remember when clarke beat ahmet and hornbeck, its not like ahmet or hornbeck arent in movies because they didnt win. i predict most/all of these guys will be in upcoming level 1 flicks.
 
this might be totally wrong, but from the videos posted none of these kids can actually 'ski' very well. one video was practically all urban rails, hardly no jumps or anything but rails..
 
if you are in fact referring to nick martini then you are completely ignorant...look at any other stept video or take his us open slope result.
 
There was so much rap in those edits. WAY to much of it.

that 12 year old killed it. and martini is just ridiculous
 
neither was T Wallisch...Martini is definitely lesser known than Wallisch was back when he won the Super Unknown contest

prediction: parker white owns Super Unknown next year, no questions asked
 
i havent seen pipe skiing in bermans movie for the past 3 years or maybe even more. I dont understand why everybody is hating on the videos with just park and urban rails. Its what Berman wants to see. Once the winner is decided he isnt taken on a heli trip to alaska, hes taken to a spring park photo shoot. Thats why everybody is showing their park skills and not their big mtn skills, its pretty much a contest to get to a spring park shoot
 
that 12 year old is rediculous, 630s on at age 12, are u kidding me? and then sean jordan whos my age and throws down like crazy with mad steeze, brogans and martinis edits were the best in my opinion but everyone killed it
 
well if its a spring park shoot i'm assuming the pipe is part of the park. but maybe not.

also there seemed to be sometimes random pow shots, which kinda seemed like they were trying to show they ski besides just park, even tho from what you said its a park shoot for the winner.
 
I actually have a feeling that after this year being all park and a lot of urban, some kids from out west are going to come up with some crazy backcountry stuff (bootes/jibs/cliffs) and dominate.

At least, I hope so.
 
not really. he has a tinyass ski hookup through salomon and gets the occasional glove or helmet from switch and sweet protec. nicks been in this competition like 3 times now, just because he hardly has a sponsor 3 years later, does that eliminate him from competing? This contest isnt really to get KNOWN, its to become pro
 
well you have to look at where the majority of the finalists are from. 3 from big boulder, several from quebec, and a couple from the northeast. then think about are any of these areas known for having great pipes, and also consider their mindsets, probly not really pipe oriented skiers due to the fact that pipe has practicly become a seperate sport in itself being that u need seperate skis to compete and that alone can make it to pricey. And the level that pipe is at professionally now honestly imo makes it very risky if you actually want to compete, at that level theres a good chance you could get F###ed up!

but once again I enjoyed them all BIG UP's to all the competitors.
 
Honestly even tho I dont think he have the tricks to compete with the other dudes, I would really like that borland kid to win.

I really like the way he ski, I like how his body is always in an athletic yet natural stance. I know it's not the kind of skiing that make you goooo:" woooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaa that was crazy." but more like "wooooa that was cool "

his style is athletic and mellow at the same time and it fitted really well with the death cab for cutie song, my favorite entry as far as how fun it was to watch. I liked it as much as when I saw those first edits from blake nyman.
 
yeah hes unknown. i consider someone to be an "unknown" if none of my skier friends who arent on NS havent heard of the person
 
How am i more sponsored, i dont even have a contract with anyone let alone any money. I just get free stuff from a couple companies...Just like a bunch of kids in this comp
 
very true. i think if your in the xgames your known. then the step below that is like ahmet and smaller time pros. then theres unknown like wallisch last year, and theres the super unknown which is like borland and the other kids. to me, brogan and martini are not super unknown but still somewhat kindaunknown, while sean jordan is superunknown.

people confuse superunknown with NSunknown.
 
just seemed like it based on the coverage you get from newschoolers, and i made an incorrect assumption based on the jib academy result.
 
they all have insane talent, but the only one i really enjoyed watchin was brogans, and lets face it, ski movies these days need more ppl with steeze
 
Im really wishing something happens so that they take brogan and martini, becuase that would make, for me anyways, the most amazing ski movie with the best possible crew I could think of. But im also thinking about past years where it has also been super close, or is this year closer between 2 guys than any other year?
 
^ I think the one that clarke won was the most up for grabs, the finalists that year where LJ, Ahmet, Cosco, David Bellieau, Mike Riddle and some other peeps i think.

Borland has great style, and his vid is the most well balanced and he is truly unknown. The rest have WAY too much rails and not enough BC or even jumps.
 
Dan Armbuster's vid was soo sick. well rounded skier with fairly new/progressive tricks. I can definitely see some of those shots in a "professional" movie
 
Marc Dandurand should get and invite to some urban shoots next year, I really dont care if he ever hits a single jump or lands on snow, that was the best urban segment ever.

Antoine Caron.... when I saw that he was 15 I threw up, I hope he takes it.

Nick had an awesome segment. If he takes it, it's because of his down-flat slaying.
