Honda S2000

You can afford a $17000 car?

The two cars that I've owned were the equivalent of $500 and $800 and I barely could afford to run them.

What you're getting is mental.

Where the hell are you going to put your skis?

For 17000 bucks, buy a more skier friendly car for 10000 and then buy 7000 worth of ski stuff you rich git.

my opinion is that you should buy a used subaru wrx, then with the extra money put some other work into it. i think you'd be really happy with it.

they are fun cars. had one, got rid of it because it blew ass practicality wise. no trunk space, pass seat has hardly any room for the passenger itself... dont get it unless its going to be your weekend car that you drive around for fun. and if you do get one get an 03+ because 01-02 the rear window was plastic, and after time it gets yellow and gross, and it flaps in the wind... super annoying.

actually im 20, financed the car myself. so shut the fuck up, i earned what i have by fucking working, how old are you like 12?

and if you didnt read, i got rid of the car. i have a 98 integra and an 06 wrx wagon now.

you have to drive it, its a realy realy realy fun car. it lacks balls off the line, but thats why you change the gearing.

Ive driven one, there alright but like a true honda... no torque, and it looks like a girls car. Get a b5 audi s4 more fun to drive, AWD, same price range ,it has a roof and you dont need lipstick to drive it.

true theres no torque stock. but after you change the gearing/rear end, the thing is a beast.

b5's are nice. but pricey for repairs, and the electrical shit on those cars are kinda easy to break and pricey to fix

never had any electrical issues with the audi just sucks doing the timming its like a $2500 job. And do you really want to spend 20k on a car and then tear up the tranny and shit??

i did :D

it wasnt that bad, 3 days work is def worth it. i also did a single tip exhaust out the rear, dropped it with s tech springs, and got the ap2 10 spoke wheels, got them powdercoated white (mine was white)

and i was realy realy happy with the car, its just that it was too small.

I'm sorry but for a 20 year old with no degree to have a job that can support two cars, one of which is incredibly expensive is crazy. Maybe its just the car culture in the US where financing cars is seriously cheap but there's no way that could happen in the UK. For me to consider a similar deal I reckon I would have to be earning at least $50 / 55K in full time work. But I would have to live in a rented shithole and not spend any money on skiing. The insurance alone on the Subaru would be around $2500 for me.

meh, i've got a buddy making like 40k/year, and he's 18. he's got an 03 chev pickup and an 04 crotch rocket of some sort (i haven't seen it yet, he just got it), so i could see someone being 20 and having 2 cars.

S2000's have a fan club, mostly because they're so damn reliable. They're great cars, they've been honored by Top Gear at least a few times in their user surveys. Go with it if you need a small zippy two seater.

Right, jealous ranting over...

Ive heard they are really nice cars to drive and Honda make good engines. But rear wheel drive. If you're in the mountains I'd say look for a 4wd like an Audi TT maybe. Fast, fun and skier friendly. You can even get ski racks for them. Also Beemer Z coupes are pretty sick. (Thinking about similar cars)

im calling shananagans on this one, honestly .....99% of kids on this site can't even afford a 20 year old ford crown vic, let alone a fuckin s2000. You full of shit.

im not full of shit bro. i work for my best friends dad he builds huge malls. granted, my mom helped me pay for the wrx as a gift. im getting my degree in international business in 09 from case western u. yes my parents are loaded not gonna lie (and i don't want to sound like a prick.)

but everything i own/ have owned i have worked my ass off for. the s2k was a mistake. and mattman, im in the car cult, you've seen pictures of my wrx, and integra, and my bike. im not bullshitting anything.

and yes i can understand how from your eyes i might look like im lying but im not, all the money i make goes towards cars, and i live at home so i dont have to worry about bills or food or anything.

So funny how everyone wants to pretend they're poor while they spend $400 on boots, $500 on skis, $200 on bindings, and $300 on xxl burton suits.

Give me a break

It's neat how if you can get a $25/hr job, you can buy three of those cars every year. And most people over age 16 can land a $25/hr job.

Aaanyway

S2ks aren't too fast anymore, and subarus aren't too reliable. I'd say if youre looking for a quick, fun ski friendly car look for an old 1979-1995 golf GTi. You can buy one for
