Its like some people need to discriminate against someone or they'll go nuts. i'm starting to see more and more controversy over homosexuals, just like when blacks and white were segregated and the kkk was at its peak. first, gay won't be able to get married, then they won't be able to hold certain jobs, like teaching then they'll have to be segregated from heteros. of course this may not happen, but it is very possible. homophobics have performed hate crimes similar to the ones during the civil rights movement (not cross burnings but beating and even killing). if you are not a racist, but you're a homophobe, and you think you're a good person. well you're just like a racist, but just a different form.

The funny thing is, I read a website some time ago with a number of leading theologians and high-up members of several Churches (bishops, reverends, anywhere in between), all asserting that in fact, the bible does not imply the immorality of homosexuality. They pointed to several common interpretations and reasons they could easily be incorrect... I found it interesting. In any case, i certianly agree with this post. Obviously, if we're preaching equality, discrimination against ANY human being is the same as discrimination against any other... that's common sense.

 
i guess it depends what degree of 'homophobe' you are. Homophobe just means scared of gays. Not all homophobes go killing and persecuting gays.

I don't think its right when people persecute/kill or whatever against gays. But how can you even compare gays to blacks? Did you know that homosexuality was on the APAs list of psychological diseases until a bunch of gays pretty much rioted their conference and demanded it be taken off?

The lines here are between intolerance/tolerance/acceptance. The people who you are talking about are intolerant, thats bad. I am tolerant of it, but i don't accept it. Never before in the history of this country have people lost rights they once had, and they won't ever.
