homework help-relating to skiing

hey does anybody know a good topic that has to do with skiing for a pursuasive speech? i want to do something with skiing, but cant think of anything. all thoughts are welcome. thanks!

Why skiers are better than boarders... lol But seriously, you could talk about how one type of trick is better than another or something...? What grade?

i'd intitle it 'Skiing is a drug', and explain it's addictive characteristics

yeh but i need to convince them that one thing is better then the other. i am in 10th grade. i also need to be able to find evidence of these things in atleast three sources.

Yeah you could persuade your teacher how the FIS ruined mogul and other skiing and snowboarding events. Tell how indepently events were better than FIS sanctioned ones. There is lots of evidence and would actually be argueable. Not that debating which trick is better wouldn't be cool but if your teachers are anything like mine, you would fail that topic.

yeh i think im gonna do ski bums idea. if anybody could tell me where i can get information for that topic that would be mad phat. thanks to anybody that can help me out.

Another cool topic to do would be to show how the development of twin-tip skis has helped to revive the ski market by getting younger skiers off of snowboards and back on skis. I'm sure you could find at least a few articles relating to it, show how more and more companies are building twin-tip models; there are graphs out there that show that for a short time snowboarders outnumbered skiers on some mountains, but the trend has swung back to skis; and then for good measure, at the end show a clip from Propaganda or another movie, summarizing how skiing has progressed.

maybe you could use some stuff and quotes from the interview of jonny mosely in freeze right befor the olympics. I know mosely is a pretty boy ( he has skill but i dont like his attitude) but thats one name alot of people know of that arent skiers.would really help you out to show what you are talkingabout.
