Homemade wake skis...

what the fuck is wrong with you. its dope to see people doing that kind of stuff on water. plus this guy is awesome. nations wake skis are not hand made like these are.
 
Nothings wrong with me...

I live on a lake, I'm out on the water everyday. I've done many things on the water, including this pathetic sport. I personally think it's a waste of time, and looks super gay (no style whatsoever). It's my opinion - that doesn't mean something is wrong with me.

I already gave him props for handmaking his own. He's got some talent for sure! I'm pretty sure Nations are handmade too though.. There isn't a big enough market to mass produce them.
 
ive always thought about making some of those but i soon after realized how incredibly lazy i am...get some vids or pics up soon, id like to see how well they work.
 
why do you think its a waste of time? "it looks super gay" isnt exactly any sort of support to build an opinion on. its a brand new sport too. you cant expect them to be as smooth as all the pro wakeboarders when they have only been doing the sport for a few years. im talking about hand made stuff as in this guy has very little experience making stuff but hes still out there designing and building his own stuff by himself. nations has high tech materials and machines.

IS THIS NOT "TRICK SKIING" - which is possibly the lamest waste of fuel ever to hit the water.

This has been around for nearly 20 years - trick skis are for ballet skiers and girls -

I admire your intention, but there are dozens of versions of this and they all SUCK - but if you wanna trick ski like a girl, go for it.

Maybe you can call kneeboarding - water-sledding and think it is some cool new shit also

call it what it is!! they're fucking waterskis! snowboarders have been giving skiers shit for years for taking trick names and looking like them blah blah blah...

now people are taking water skis and calling them wakeskis? that's fucking gay!! they're god damn waterskis!!!

buy a fucking wakeboard!!

 
It seems like it would be really dangerous for your knees. Wakeboarding involves a much greater risk of knee injury than snowboarding. Skiing is riskier on knees than snowboarding. So this type of skiing on water seems like a bad idea. All that said, I'd like to try it out some time.
 
Im going to go to Sports Authority and buy a pair of waterskis, then mount ski bindings on them and go ride a day in the BC with it...ooooh yeah!
