my friends and i are making a homemeade rail to hit this summer. we already have a design and are in the process of getting money and materials but what do you suggest to use for an in-run and a lip

 
good question. i cant remember what that stuff is called.

makes pizza thats too hot a little bit colder so it doesnt burn the roof of your mouth
 
use 'meanie' its what they use on the water ramps....its kind of like a hard plastic carpet and slids really well if you have a sprinkler on it. Im not sure where to get it though.

 
with an 85 degree incline^ and that meanie shit is impossible to find and even if u did it would be expenisive or expensive to shit.

are you saying astorturf doesnt slide well? Beause Ive done it before and it worked fine, and it wasnt that steep.

I've used soapy carpet on an inrun, but it's a real pain in the but to keep the carpet soapy and wet. Not to mention you need a steep incline. Summer inruns are pretty much a pain in the butt no matter how you look at it.

go to a local ice rink and get there snow.... or indoor outdoor carpet with soapy water..... or Snow fence.... (the orange fence that u see around construction sites.

its the same shit, and it slides real good wit water and soap, you dont need that steep of an incline. it was like 20 bucks for a 20x4 piece at home depot

first thing i will say is USE THE SEARCH. second is that snow fence is the wayt to go. i use it with a not too steep incline and works great. i bought some carpet to see how itd work but it diddnt seem to work as well. snow fence and water works fine. snow fence and soap works great. by snow fence i mean the orange stuff. 15$ for a 50'x4' roll

^Do you put the snow fence over plywood or anything? Cause the holes seem like they'd be a problem... at least for me, since my area has a lot of stray rocks that I don't feel like raking out of the dirt.

indoor out door carpet is way cheaper but i only bought it to use on my protable drop-in and landing to cut down on the need for snow for urban rails. i take the rails i made up to baker. they have snow fo a long time

snowfence sucks, u have no control on that shit. ive tried it all tarp/snowfence/astrotuf/carpet. the best is indoor/outdoor carpet.

there was this shit i saw at the ice hockey store that you use to practice puck handling and practice on when ice isnt avalible, im sure its mad expensive but it looks like it slides really well
