Homemade boxes

I have a few homemade rails set up in my backyard and want to make a few boxes to add to it. I need to know what material that is used to make it(like the cutting board type of stuff that you slide).

There are lots of threads on this. use lexan, its the best for the price. Parks use HDPE, its a stronger, uv resistant material.

use any type of plastic that you think would allow skis to slide on good luck you'll come up with something i have faith.

i use sheet metal. but i use some like shiny spray shit that u put on tires to make them look shiny. it slides like a champ

i don't know if your referring to the there are a lot of threads or the other part of that quote but if your tlaking about there being a lot of threds........search bar is down

just build a solid fram using 2X4s with lots of cross sections for support. Then put some plywood on top, then but lexan or whatever on top of that.

u used particle board covered with the white plastic shit! like they build furniture and use in closets ! it worked good for an entire season i need to replace it now it got al sun baked and rotted but its only 12 buck for 15 feet!

I happened to get my hands on some free HDPE(3 4x12 ft. sheets), the stuff that the resorts use. I have enough to make like 8 good size boxes. Just wondering if it is neccessary to have rails on the box to not catch an edge of it, or if it will work just putting it on the top of the box.

it will work with or without the coping, we used uhmw which is the same thing as hdpe (they are both polyethelyne just different forms). I bought some cheap pvc pipe to use as coping, but its not really necessary i dont think. Thats a sweet deal that you got those for free, i paid over 100 for a 4x10 sheet
