Homeade Rail trouble

I made a pvc rail in my backyard but when i step on it diggs edges into the rails and like shaves it. Whats goin on?

what color pvc did you use? some are better than others

Does it dig enough that you catch an edge? Metal on plastic is always going to create some wear and tear

I used white for the 150 odd feet of rails we've got. sometimes new ski's have that effect on it or simply if you don't know or are not comfortable with sliding a rail yet it happens. but i recommend the white stuff haha good luck!

have you wet the rail? this is most likely your problem.

White PVC is the only stuff that holds up. If you are really going to make a good rail/box. Get polyethylene. It's the white stuff they use in parks. Runs decently cheap. Get like either 1/4 inch or 1/5 inch thick and you will do a lot better. Stuff is legit.

buy white pvc it not too expensive and it slides amazing and is super durable

when u use the pvc. make sure u screw the screw down far enough otherwise it could mess up some skis.
