I think it's nuts how all skiers claim there home mountains with so much pride or disgust - where you grew up skiing infers a lot about the person as a skier; your strengths and weaknesses, general tendencies towards rails, booters, pow, big mountain, racer backgrounds. It's always been a part of this culture, and probably will be, I just had to mention it.

Steamboat is the worst... People light up, try to rake and just make everything terrible. I went up last year after closing to see if the park was still set up, and I watched the park crew break about 6 rails fucking around with machinery.
