If its the same dude then I was talking to him in the gondola when I was at Steamboat. Nice guy. He used to build motocross courses. Now it gets interesting. With motocross they used to have 4 or 6 riders but it got boring, because 1 would get out in front and then it'd be over. That's why they moved to 25 riders or whatever in a race.
His prediction is that the same thing will happen with skiing. Maybe not 25 riders but at least 12. He said they'd widen the first straight to fit them all then make the rest of the course only about 30% wider than it currently is. So there'd be more room for overtaking and you could have 6 people hitting a feature at the same time.
I had to think about it for a while but he seemed pretty legit about it. He knew his shit, and he knew what it would take to make it happen.
