i see those floaters and just wanna do the worlds biggest shifty over them and like hold it for like 3 seconds that would be bitchin
 
you are a douchebag. you may not like their "steeze" but they compete on a course you couldn't ski down. These guys are ridiculous skiers. And yes, 75 mph on ice is crazy.
 
Jesus I cannot believe it takes something like the Olympics for people to have respect for racers. Be more open minded people instead of just saying racers are fags like Tanner did a while ago.
 
haha, if you don't go off those jumps in a tight form you will eat shit, the wind will catch you and throw you WAY back seat, and yes DH is kick ass
 
I am pretty sure I would wreck just going that fast, much less trying to make aggressive turns and catching 150-200 horizontal feet of air
 
Yeah, those guys haul ass. They hit like 140km/h. Going fast is sweet, but that fast is just nuts. And a thin layer of spandex is all the covers you if you bail, which on ice at that speed might as well be asphalt.
 
they are pretty insane i think that freestyle skiing and racing are just to different to compare. I give props to them for going so fast
 
From some of the angles it doesn't look like they're going that far, and then the camera angles switch and it HUGE.
 
i didn't get to watch the downhill today because i had to work from 6 (the time it started) to 12:30 at fucking school. this really sucks.
 
more like 2 minutes. but they do jumps on those courses that give them over 100 ft of horizontal flight. most kids on this sight get scared around 50-70 feet and another 30 ft and thats what they are doing.
 
This has been some of the crappiest camera work I can remember, so it's nice to hear you guys actually give these guys props....

One of the DHers crashed two years ago by doing a spread or a something off the last roller in an attempt to scrub speed for a better start time....
 
some of the camera work was shit, but the camera they had at the last split point when they went off that jump and the camera panned after them from left to right was insane, it sounded like a freaking jet plane was going by.
 
ralves should have stayed on the new skis, casue as far as im concerned he skied it smoother than anyone else i saw
 
finally these guys get some respect. im so tired of hearing all this racers suck crap. they are just killer at different stuff than you guys. and tanner says daron rahlves sucks..... look at him ski in the park, he cant even carve.
 
and another guy did a back scratcher, but the skis are like 215cm so he couldn't get it back down, his tips caught the ground and he crashed so hard

Since they are both A-list Red Bull athletes, here's my idea....

They both get to chug half-a-dozen Red Bulls and then get throw into the Octagon, I put my life savings on Rahlves to have Hall crying for his mommy inside of 5 minutes....
 
yea dude downhill is nuts. these guys are intense athletes, i hate to admit it but way better skiers than any freeskiers. they recover from what would be certain death for any of us.
 
that kandahar course is fuckin ill as hell. about 3 yrs ago they had one of those lil step downs over the second to last headwall and some norwergian chick i think it was traveled over 100 yards before landing. thats like 2.5 chads gaps.
 
downhill racers are sweet, i think it would be so fun to try one of their courses but i would probably end up peeing just looking down from the start
 
I watched some of it, one guy was doing 127km/h, that's fucking intense. It's awesome seeing them wrecking at those speeds, sooooo crazy.
