I'm getting tired of all the shit being slung around here. I ski, skiboard, and used to snowboard. I also teach skiing. There is nothing different from skiing and skiboarding, it's the same damn thing. Skiboards are just shorter skis, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be bitching about something so trivial as length.

And people saying skiboarders look like douchebags? Do you guys look at each other when you ride? Your landings are so sloppy and yet you have the arrogance to try and afterbang? You kids are fucking spazzes, learn to ride and shut the fuck up. It's not about what you ride, it's about riding.
 
I am aware that some people are just ignorant and its not your fault .but to talk shit about some thing you know absolutly nothin about just shows off how stupid some of you are. we all feel bad for your parents. just knowing that they brought morons into the world must kill them.... Oh we did start the twin tip revolution years ago. I have been on skiboards since 96. it wasnt until 98 that line produced the first twin tip ski and most of you are too young to remember. so if anyone thinks we have limitations I invite any one of you to come out to berthoud pass and ride some real terrain. Ill show you a skiboarder droping 50 footers then we can go to winter park and hit the 70 footer. we dont hassel you so dont hassel us or you may find a skiboarder beating you sensless. trust me you wouldnt be the first skier or snowboarder to shit teath after running there mouth too much
 
so its cool to hate on snowblading on here but half the kids on here rollerblade. its no different. and really its not all that diffferent from skiing.

but your so much cooler because the thinks you strap on your feet are longer.....

and before someone says i ski blade, i dont.
 
ya everyone has a style and in no way shape or form do they have any style. that vid of henrik and tom messing around on ski blades is a million times stylier than those newbs
 
I wasn't going to bring it up but thanks Condor for doing so. If anything is like anything else, twintips are like skiboards, not the other way around. I am proud to be a skboarder, at least we don't hate on others for arbitrary shit.
 
the only reason you cant land is because you land backseat or frontseat usually

our coach bought a pair of ski blades this year to help us learn how to land perfect every time and its not hard.

plus all the tricks they did on the rails were suuper easy to do on snowblades

ive seen austin torvinen do waay more on snowblades /claim
 
I think skiboarding generates a lot of flaming not because the sport itself is worthless, but more so because people like you say things like that.

The edits in the original post are god awful. However, the one kid that posted his edit from Carinithia had some talent. My biggest complaint with skiboarding is that I don't see a lot of people take advantage of their short length in order to do tricks that are only possible on skiboards. Instead, they usually end up looking like more awkward and less smooth versions of tricks kids are doing on skis.
 
my friend who is a snowboarder got a pair of snowblades for free and has been messing around with them, never skiied in his life, and is way better then these guys

hits every rail/jump in the park throws 3s etc. hes been about 5 times, gotta get him on skis.

a lot of bad advertisement for skiboarding has a lot to do with the lack of skiboarders. Yes there are gaper ass skibladers wearing tight as clothing sucking on boxes. there are also the same for twin tippers but because the majority of skibladers are gapers it makes it hard to show anything different.
most of the time I get respect from people when i throw down, occasionally i get 1-2 critic's (usually chairlift riders). But after they watch me ski they have actually apologized.
1 guy i almost took out after we both hit a rail at the same time and 270'd out going opposite directions. he was pretty pissed and ofcourse pulled out the skiblade card. but after i did a cork 5 infront of him he said i ripped and actually asked about it.
unfort there will always be haters, and gapers. unfortuniatly haters hate gapers and gapers skiblade a lot... sigh

also let me say I may skiboard too, but I apologize for GOM (godofmeadia) he is just very opinionated and getting super defensive. He deff should NOT of responded like that. that just makes us look horrible and he has to realize since we are way out numbered we have to make sure we are DICKS

This is true. I feel like somebody like asian_allen could absolutely kill it on rails riding skiboards.

On another note, there are definitely skiboarders out there that have style and can throw down big tricks. Branden Harding(SubySki) throws down cork 5s and 7s, rodeos etc. at Carinthia, and Dave Lynam has landed doubles on skiboards at Winterpark. Their talent aside, these guys, the rest of the Revel8 team, and all the other skiboarders I have ridden with are some of the coolest people I have ever ridden with. They are all super chill and just stoked to be on snow having a good time; similar to how newschoolers was several years ago before it became the fucking fashion show that it is today. Remember when anybody on the mountain with twintips was automatically your friend? I miss those days...

you do realize that snowblades have been around longer than twintip skis. there is no hope for snowblading, it will always be super, super fucking gay.
 
Man, I seriously have no idea what you are trying to say. What it sounds like to me is that you are drawing a comparison between skiboards and twin tips and yet you are calling skiboards gay. And since you are comparing skiboards to twin tips thus calling them gay as well.

Now, I do want to apologize for the rather hostile comment I made earlier. I guess my only problem with this thread is that you guys say all this shit on here but when I ride with twintipers at my resort, whether it be just for fun or for a lesson or a mix, nobody gives me any grief over what I'm riding. Honestly I couldn't care less what anybody is riding or what they are calling them as long as they are having fun. I may not be "pro" at what I do but I feel I am pretty good at what I do and I enjoy what I am doing so that is all that matters to me.

REmember when skiers were consiered gay and still are by a lot of snowboarers (mostly gaper ones) and everytime a snowboarder say somthing along the lines of skiing is gay half of this site cries about it. Well fuck everyone hating on blading and I'm sure most of you guys couldnt do half that stuff on blades because you can't land backseat at all.

everythin on blades looks and is skechey as fuck, my boss makes us do a clinic on them every winter you can spin like crazy but its a sketchy way to get down the hill
