im a jr. in highschool and it just hit me that

this will be my second to last cristmas break for the rest of my life.

this will be my second to last spring break

second to last summer

wtf happened!?!?!?!?!

no wonder why people hate getting old.
 
are you not going to college? Cause you have longer winter breaks in college, get out earlier and have a balla spring break still.
 
^idk what im doing after highschool. probly collage i guess. but still, if i go i'll probly move out of state where theres better skiing. and i'll probly never see my old friends again, or for a fucking long time. i remember thinking id never make it out of school, and now its like "where the fuck did all the time go?????"
 
I get thoughts like that too. I don't want to age quickly. Thinking in 4 years normal school is over kinda bugs me out.
 
While it does suck missing friends, it's not that bad. You get used to it pretty fast. And if they are really good friends, you'll stay in contact with them regardless.
 
Haha I remember having that realisation. Then I had the realisation I was far from being old. I'm in college now and I'm definatly not old
 
it's not that bad. I moved 2500 miles away for college, but you still see your HS friends over winter and summer break
 
you're a junior in high school, you are nowhere near being old.

granted, it does suck saying goodbye to the old friends after the summer of graduation

you meet new cool people in college, I still stay in contact with my good friends from HS as well.
 
hahaha bro. It may seem like the end but its just the beginning. i'm from ohio and went to school in boston. I'm finally gonna get to see all my old friends for the first time in 3 months next week. it's seems like it's gonna suck, but college is way worth it. And remember to live life like there's no tomorrow.
 
yea, not even close to being old... you're just old enough to get a job, and if you go to college winter break's better, because it's a month long.

i go to college next year. it kinda freaks me out cause all this stuff came at me really fast. i dont like the idea that i will be living on my own. i dont really feel like im ready. but whatever gotta do what you gotta do.
 
Those are good times let me tell ya, enjoy it while ya got it. See how ya feel when your coming up on your 10 year HS reunion. Your only as old as you tell yourself.
 
that's what most people think..and then realize everyone at school is going home, and you'll be one of the few left there.

I loved travelling home for winter breaks to see my high school buddies
 
I feel old just because a junior in high school thinks he's old. I'm a junior in college. Just wait until you have friends that start getting married and having kids. My roommate has a daughter and its still pretty fucking weird.

 
ha yeah dude take a step back here. your not that old your gonna be goin to college. thats gonna be the best time youll see when u get there. youll look back and wonder why you were freakin out
 
i can see why you're freaking out, i did that one time too (im a sophmore in HS). When I looked forward to next year, junior year seems to scare the shit out of me, b/c i dont wanna write a term paper or get ready for college or any of that...but i dont have to yet
 
get off NS, study, get a nice education while you still can. there is a college for everyone no matter the academic GPA and whatnot. grad from college, ski, make a 6figure salary, ski some more. then ski some more.

or

neglect that ditch school, ski, ski, and eat then go to school a few hours, leave and ski then ask yourself hwat you did last 2 years come graduation.

it feels like last yr that i was a little 5'8'' 180 lb freshman...

i barely remember high school.... but dude, go to college!!! itll be worth your time in about 10 yrs when your out gettin a job. plus college is alot of fun!!
 
I feel the same, I'm a sophmore in college but my brother is a senior. Its gunna be weird to not ever live with my brother ever again. I don't feel ready for college. But I realized that people in college don't look that old to me anymore. Its weird being done with the first part of your life. College sounds sick though.
 
wow, i thought this thread would at least say that you were out of college or something, not some high school punk. Shut up, you're not old.  Start fucking every girl you can and stop thinking you are old.
 
when you think about stuff like this it is scary, strange, unsettling...whatever, when you actually get to the point you were thinking of, you'll find it isn't so bad. you will adapt and move on. i finished undergrad in college last year and started graduate stuff this semester which i was really afraid of but now i'm here and..yeah i'm doing it. i'm scared/nervous about the stuff i have to learn and do down the road, but once i get there i'll just do it and move on to what's next.

you're not old...and you have soooooo much to look forward to dude. be excited.
