HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

Ahahaha look at the guy with a sled in top right corner waiting for his turn! If you saw that mad kid in the other thread doing Cork 7s and 2ons and 4 outs and urbans on a sled then you will know what I mean. :D

jesus.. i used to wish skiing could be more like snowboarding, but recently im hoping it doesnt. its turning into such a fucking fashion/worry about my image/try so hard to be different, fest. though unfortunately skiing isnt too far behind.

lol are you serious? its just the opposite trend of tall tees and crotch sag. get over it. the only difference is snowboarders dont hate on eachother for size pants they wear. its changed a bit in the past few years but every year at momentum i would get openly hated on for the size of my pants. that makes it seem like skiers care way more about fashion and image. you're way off man.

ill admit that skiing has more hate, but dont pretend that it doesnt exist in snowboarding. i heard 3 seperate snowboarders hate on people this year for wearing a helmet, because the new trend is to wear nothing on your head or just wear sunglasses or a headband or whatever hipster shit they are using now. ive heard tight pants kids hating on the thug kids, and the other way around many times this year. and after living with two snowboarders for a year, and being around them and their friends all the time, you get to see how long they take to get dressed in the morning, watch them spend hours dressing up their bindings with ties and other hipster crap, and listen to them hate on the other fashion trends.
but its not all the hate that i dont like, its more that the whole sport has turned into a huge fashion show. everyone has to be part of their special scene and try so damn hard to act different and crazy, and the whole fucking thing is just fake as shit.
sorry to bitch so much, but the two types of people i cant stand are mean people and fake/plastic people, and im seeing a combination of both in snowboarding and skiing, and its taking over.

yes its been a fashion show for a good 5-8 years now, but in the last year or so its just gotten insane/pathetic. 5 years ago, all you needed was the newest outerwear to be cool. now in snowboarding atleast if your uncovered hair isnt roughed up and coordinated just right with your scarf, nose ring, patchy facial hair, and bland expression, your not accepted. i know thats an exaggeration but not by much..

50 years ago you needed a fancy new down jacket, in the 90's you needed sweet neon, in the 70's you needed sexy matching technical nut huggers.
