Jon is a newschool park rider winning a contest of a whole different aspect of skiing, legitimizing to the racer kids that park riders actually know how to hold a line and use their edges.

do you guys realize that jon is talking to all of us? what other pro takes time out of his day to piost to a bunch of middleschoolers, and half wits? Jon not only cares about us, he's pumped on us. There are so many racers on this site anyways, it's awesome that jon is trying it out. and doing better than most of us would.

on the other hand i still think it's funny jons videos are rails on pow days, and now he's racing.... i mean if he just hasn't nailed all the typical "i don't ski for skiings sake stereotypes ie park rat and racer....

basically jon is the best.

I want to see some tree skiing or something though, just once.

as i said above, i've got nothing but respect for you man. Shit, scoring in the high 40s/ low 50s FIS is impressive on its own, nvm after not racing for as long as you have.

Im just wondering if your real goal is to ski World Cup of is it just to have fun with racing an see how far it takes you? Not that its any of my buisness, its just that I feel as though the only way to make the leaps in your skiing required to achieve single-digit gs results would be to train all winter and summer as the members of the current Swedish team do. Are you willing to drop freeskiing for this goal?

Alright lets get this straight. Don't call me a hater for not even hating on anything, I didn't think this deserved to be a sticky for no apparent reason. I agree jon is a sick skier and that this is cool as fuck. But the fact that it is cool should keep the thread going on its own.

yea jon! so many props for you!

busting into the race scene like this, i thought you would do good but to already being taking a gold home is amazing.

you've been my favorite skier for a while and this just has up'ed the props even more. ive watched your video blog and i could tell you were taking this seriously and you were working hard. keep at it and go for gold at the olympics. dont go for 2014 but for first 2010.

Well for a couple of years he was uncapable of not getting 3rd in a comp!

He's deffinately one of my faves, him, Candide for park.
