Good for Jon, but you guys realize winning races at that level is about the same as someone who doesn't play baseball regularly winning a high school baseball game and winning the Olympics would be like the same pitcher winning the 7th game of the World Series? Yeah, it could happen, but it's not very likely.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Jon making the Swedish team just to prove a point, but his chances of winning a gold in any alpine racing event are slim to none.
Things like this gets me motivated, "slim to none" I love it, makes me want to hit the gym right now! Haha
I read a bit on here and will as usualt explain a couple things!
1. My SL points are from 2001 and I do not intend to ski SL so I dont care if they are 1000.
2.Yes, not the hardest race to win but you have to start somewhere, in racing its hard as fuck to come from the back, its all about the start nr. In the first FIS I did the fall I beat a guy in training the day before but then at the race I started 118 and was 10 sek behind him, so start nr is everything!
But now I earned some points so I am not starting last anymore witch is a hell of a lot more fun!
So I know that winning this is very far away from winning WC but I know I am fast enough to do that, its just going to take a long time and a shit ton of training, but I am ready and the more "but his chances of winning a gold in any alpine racing event are slim to none" I hear the bigger my chances will be!
Anyway its fun as hell so I dont really care!
BTW Don´t hate on racers, I have realized after going to all these races that they are so stoked on the whole park thing and most of them would love to do it,so if a races comes through the park, don´t yell at him, be nice instead!
