there's a difference between kissing someones ass and agreeing with someone because they have a good point.

Candide probably does pole plants more often than not when hitting anything, and i love it.

alright, for all you haters out there:

1- who cares if he freaking pole plants when he takes off? when did pole plant spins suddenly become "illegal" in the world of skiing?

2- those measurements are not wrong. the full size of the table is 60 m or 190ish feet. Candide goes about 150. Look at the person standing on the rail and then look straight up at how big the guy in the sequence is.

3- all you who say candide needs more variety....lets see you do a 150 foot cork three, and THEN you have the right to bitch about it....because i dont see any of you who are hatin on him doing it

Also, Candide does insane pencilishness before getting into his grab ALWAYS, and the pole plant looks retarded. HIs tail isnt the best in the industry. Watch Tanner Rainville, his is way sicker. yeti there is a huge difference between the length of the flat and where people is landing...at the jon comp all top 4 riders were landing almost in the flatbottom, thats a flight of nearly 40 meters, the table candide is hitting might be 60 meters to the bottom of the landing, he is def. not going more than 40 in that sequence.

(40 m = 140 ft)

obviously its personal opinion. but not that much. In skiing I think we have standardized things that make up good style... Not being a pencil at any point, being smooth, beign relaxed, flowing, stomping clean, keeping arms in control. Candides arms are always flailing, his legs are flailing, he has no variety, his pole plant makes him go pencilled at the beginning of every trick etc.

wait, no, his arms are held all the way through the trick, he flails sometimes when going uber huge, and not penciled at anypoint? so he knows how to ski to the jump, and he looks penciled because he is gonna go for a tail grab, not a safety. style is personal opinion, almost always...

aha, all I know is that tanner rainville doesnt pencil out when goign for his perfect blunts. But yes its definitely an opinion. Im not tryign to say that you cant liek candide.

haha, well like Jon Olsson is one of the styliest guys, so I dont think its so much taht I liek pencil, I think theres just somethign about candide's style that personally really bugs me. Its weird. aha.

Well first of all, I can certainly "fathom" how much skill that would take. Second of all, I never said I don' respect candide, all I said was it wasn't stylish. JEEZE!

How bout this one. I like my friends rail style better than candide's. Lets just say its better. Could candide say his rail style is worse than tanners? NO! cause candide has not matched my friends rail style! thats fuckign stupid!

haha, I can imagine what it would be like to do a cork 3 over a 130 foot jump yes. I do cork 3s easier than reg 3s, and Ive done them going about 60 feet. I can imagine 2.5 times bigger. Eitehr way, that wasnt the main point, the second part was the main point.

well its big and it looked good till he was at 3, wich was like untill the 2/3 of the jump, he finishedhis spin way too earkly and started dropping and had to flail to spot his rotation if he would have done a 540 it would have been perfect but as a cork 3 it's so farfrom perfection

P.S. Some guy at TGR used candide's ski length (180) and measured the jump relative to it, calculated it to be about 110 feet. Just thought I'd pass that along. It looks bigger, though.

If they're 177's: 3,186 centimeters = 104.5 feet

If they're 180's: 3240 centimeters = 106.3 feet
