The storm over Ottawa yesterday was fucking insane!!! I saw a few things get struck by lightning like only a few hundred meters away. We had consistent lightening for hours, every few seconds there was another bolt... it seemed to go on forever.

My friends were in a tim hortons when it got struck and the said the place just shook like a giant base drum... they were fucking freeked out.

And my g/f and I were driving down Uplands and were watching shit around us get struck by lightning!! It was fucking gnarly.

Damn, just last year my neighbors where husking corn in the garage when a lightning bolt struck their basketball post less than 40ft. away from them. It was a few hundred feet from us but still fried some electronics. Couldn't really imagine what it would be like for them so close to it.

 
HOLY FUCKING SHIT, okay i was driving yesterday at about 6 o'clock through this thinder storm, and no more the 50 feet in front of me i SAW lightning hit a tree and split it in half. Craziest shit i ever saw!!!!

ya i am about 1 hour away from ottawa and my hosue shook a couple of time and woke me up throguth this storm. i had a friend who was less than 300 ft away from that guy all that she heard was a boom, and then the power went out and people were running. last i heard the guy is still in critical condition in hospital. hopefully he makes a full recovery.
