Holy crap is this too heavy?

I just put my skis on a scale earlier, and I found out that my skis weigh like 2.5~3kg w/ the bindings...EACH!!!and if I add my boots on that's like around 4.5~5kg of shit ony each of my legs, is that a little too much?
 
I have like Elan M02 skis, mojo 11's, and some salomon boots, I got them for a good price, but the thing is....are they supposed to be that heavy?
 
Kgs are used in most of the Modern World. kiwis measure in hours, with sheep that is, there economy is so bad at the moment the price of lamb went down to 10$ and hour.
 
My skis weigh somewhere around 15 or 16 lbs. together.

It's really not that much weight. 8 lbs for each foot. That's nothing.
 
the MO2 is a VERY heavy ski. as are the rest of your setup. youll be ok, unless your a twig.
