Seabiscuit and Brave New World... Great novels. Isn't 1984 by George Orwell? That's the one I read at least. Anyway, I've been reading a lot of James Patterson books: Kiss the Girls, Jack and Jill, Along Came a Spider, 1st to Die, 2nd Chance, When the Wind Blows, The Beach House, Cat and Mouse, etc. Excellent murder mystery author. Right now I'm on Jack and Jill, as well as Krakatoa by Simon Winchester and rereading A World Lit Only By Fire by William Manchester. I love that last one.

I used to never read but then at the beginning of last semester I read Stormy Weather by Carl Hiassen, it was sweet. Since then I have read all of his books (about 10) and all of Michael Wayne White's. Right now I am reading Proud Highway by Hunter S. Thompson (the guy from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). It is crazy wierd.

i finished Holes by Luis Sachar, now im starting A Breif History of Time by Stephen Hawking. then i have this Pink Floyd biography and Warren's World. im going camping this weekend, maybe ill start up Warren's World since the guy who made this topic said its good.

on the road is fucking trash. read Letters From The Earth by Twain if you want to get enlightened. i have been reading parts of For Reasons of the State by Noam Chomsky and just finished down so long it looks like up to me, and that was not bad. Ham on Rye isnt bad. everyone ought to pick up Redneck Manifesto, its great

So Far this summer I've read, Tuesdays With Morrie, A David Crosby autobiography, and right now Im reading Garcia which is of couse about the great Jerry Garcia.

I've read a bunch of books, but never finished them (the last 20 pages or so always made me lose interest). The only book I've ever read cover to cover is Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck).

kinda sad, 24 years old, and only read one book cover to cover (except like Dr. Seuss and learn to read books like that), but fuck it, I think I turned out alright.

i hardly read but what i do read i get into, hence all the lotr stuff, i probably should read more

Carl Hiaasen kicks ass. hes so funny. Team Rodent: How Disney Devours the Earth is his best work to date. his best novel was his debut though, Tourist Season

Tourist season is alright. Skin Tight or Stormy Weather are my favorite. Paradise Screwed is a good collection of his columns. If you like him then read Michael Wayne White. His are about Florida too, theyre not as funny but they are great stories.

For someone reading chomsky (not to say the man isn't a genius) you've got alot of balls dissing kerouac right now I'm tempted to call you a faggot but the reality is you probably can't read. On the road is a fucking masterpeice and so is Dharma bums. If your into any of the latter kerouac stuff (Dharma bums and on) then you should definitly read Journey to Ixtlan by Carlos Castaneda, don't bother reading the first two books in the series because they're just scattered, this is deffinitly the most important book i've ever read

i read a shit load

The only tent i'm pitchin tonite is... well you get where i'm goin.... OH! (Quagmire)

I read a fair amount of books...

Right now I'm reading Othello and the Bible (

'Seduce my mind, and you can have my body. Find my soul, and I'm yours forever.'

I love to read, right now I am reading Aristotle's metaphysics. And guys- you all should read or at least lie and say you do because most chicks dig the intellectual types.

Seperate Peace was good, was a lil sketchy as to if the guys were gay, but the book was good, some amusing parts and the drastic diff in the character types made is interesting. Frankenstein by Mary Shelly was one of THE worst books I've ever read, are you enjoying it? I read if for my english class last year and it was so incredibly dry and all the dry detail made me just want to cry...... on a more positive note, the new Harry Potter book rocked my socks and I'm reading Snow Falling on Cedars and Cold Mountain right now and bother are super good

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'You know the world has gone crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black, the Swiss hold the America's cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, and Germany doesn't want to go to war.'
Snow Falling On Cedars is the shit! So is A Walk to Remember. White Oleander I thought was pretty good, and I'm just finishing The Bluest Eye. I'm starting The Stranger next, as well as The Dharma Bums.
