Holt or G10 MX

I'm not really into the new ant thing the Holts got this year. Kinda baby-ish if you ask me.
 
they aren't in the same class, in my mind. The G10 MX is lighter with better construction, but also costs more. In general, you get what you pay for. Smith Holt = $80. G10 MX = $119.
 
talking about looks, the holt is "steezier" but IMO the G10MX is a better all around helmet
 
Same here. I bought a Holt and it's really comfy, I haven't worn it skiing yet. The ants are kind of ehhh so I'll be covering them up somehow.
 
I want to get a holt for park skiing and fooling around and wear my g10mx for plowing through trees when we get snow around here.
 
I just switched from a giro nine.9 to a smith holt, the holt fits great, as did my giro, so no difference in that department. I haven't worn my holt skiing yet, but the quality on it looks great, no worse then Giro's. The extra cost in the giro's is in manufacturing costs because the mold is probably much more expensive to produce.
 
Thats what i've got. If you want a cool park fit with giro quality, i'd go with the encore. I think its a good inbetween.
 
well, what color suit do you have, what kind of goggles do you have, and what color helmet are you plannign on gtting?

 
My suit is like green grey and white and I was thinking of a white helmet. I have like cream colored goggles.
 
I got a G10MX and love it. It's so lightweight, and is very functional. But, now I am looking into a Holt, and they are cheap so I am probably gonna get one. They are dope looking IMO.
 
If you go fast with a G10MX the visor always seems to catch the wind, if it dosen't fit snug on you it gets annoying.
