As long as they're teaching them Biblical principles and the love of Christ, it's alll good. You don't have to worry about those kinda kids jackin' your skis and cameras at the lodge. They just seemed a little too hateful and militant for me. Jesus was Love defined, you've got to remember that.

P.S. If anyone ever has any religious type questions, feel free to PM me and don't even worry how dumb you think the question might be. I've done a lot of study on this stuff.
 
not according to history, he was Hebrew and they were traditionally light complexion, with dark hair and features.

actually in some non-biblical texts people of the area who were of medium complexion described him as dark skinned which for them would mean black.

but of course this happened nearly 2000 years ago and theirs no way we will know what color he was.either way Religion sucks.
 
^I totally agree that it could have been (to me it really doesn't matter his color) and yes, religion totally sucks. I don't get into the religious stuff, I'm all about experience.
 
that is fuckin rediculous, those kids are insane. like 9 year olds crying for jesus. i personaly think they have gone to far, some of those kids may not even know what is happening.
 
I really feel sad for those kids. their parents have brainwashed them and never allowed them to think for themselves.

what the fuck, that makes me so happy im jewish, i actually a cousin, an uncle and an aunt who are like that cuz my mom is catholic. did you knwo that america is actually based on the rules of a jewish cult from thousands of years before jesus was even born? they passed their rules on to the masons which was a secrite society which many of our founding fathers were members of and they used those rules to create the constitution and the amendmants. so all of you jesus freaks who say that america is christian and christian is the right way to be, you are completely wrong because we are actually living in a jewish country
 
You kidding me? They're being brainwashed against their own will. They aren't making the choice to believe in god or jesus, they're having it forced upon them by adults. That's straight brainwashing.

Religion is a waste of time. Only wars are created becasue of it. Only hate is created. You go up to one of those kids, start saying that anohter type of religion is better, i bet u can get them to fight you.
 
blah im tired to argue with you, while i agree with what is happening to children. but religion is very important to humans. it gives people reasoning. and while i dont consider my self by anymeans a religious person, i would say with out it some people really would have trouble.
 
i think its less meaning. for example my grandmother goes to church everymorning every day of the week. all of her friends are from church. and thats where she likes to be. im sure if there wasnt church in her life she would have found a substitute, but because it is, church really is her life.
 
P.S.

i havent been to church in over a year. my parents from a young age never pressed religion apon my sister or myself. they made me go to sunday school from pre school till 3rd grade, as a means of baby sitting not for religious purposes, and i decided on my own what my beliefs are.

listen to what those kids are saying there is no way that that is their complete and utter unpromted speech from opinons that were formed entirely on their own. all thos stupid camps are just a way for evangelical christians to enforce their opinions on the easliy corruptable minds of children.

I'm a Christian and have been for a number of years. I help lead a bible study. I help out of a college ministry. I go to church, and like it.

That being said, that scared me too.

I agree, that's borderlin brainwashing. I do not believe that 9 years old can say that they want more out of life when they don't really know what life is. I don't know how to approach that. wow is all I can say.

But seriously, do some of you guys really believe that ideals shouldn't be instilled on children? I can understand a bit of the anarchist stance, but allowing kids to run around and do whatever they want is absolutely ludacris.

If that's not what you mean by "allowing kids to choose for themselves," where do you draw the line? Everyone has different moral standards that they teach their kids. And you can't change them all. From an unbiased perspective, converting people to atheism or agnostisism is no better or worse than converting people to a certain religion.
 
First the masons are in no way secret. Second, the only reason there are white people in the United States is because the Puritans (Christians) came here to get away from England. To say that we're a Jewish country is unbelievable. Not to mention the fact that Christian and Jewish ideas are similar just like the views of every other major religion.
 
^good post Backflip...yeah, our original leaders of Christianity were Jewish (Jesus, Peter, Paul, John, etc.). It wasn't until Cornelius was converted that we had a gentile (non-Jew) in our midst (that was recorded). We're basically sisters in our beliefs.

Yeah that shit is pretty fucked up. The kids have been taught to memorize catch phrases and to think that they believe that shit. It is far to easy to take Christianity far to far.
 
While I do believe it is possible to take the beliefs of Christianity too far (read: cults), I'm all for teaching our youth about Christian beliefs....just not in the way they are. VBS (Vacation Bible School) is a great way for example. They have fun, and learn a little about Jesus. They aren't chanting stuff, or none of that. The people who send their kids to camps like those probably go to a charismatic church or pentecostal church. That seems to mesh with their beliefs (speaking in tongues is very important to chasimatics).

I think those people have good intentions, but dropped the ball as far as bring those intentions to kids in a non-destructive way. I'm kinda wanting to see that movie though now.
