What do you make of this? I don't think thats difficult at all. That kid probably put a shitload of wax on his stick and practiced it again and again, making it easy. And I understand he's nine, but still, I coach childrens hockey and I play myself and I know a ton of good nine-year-olds could pull off that move with practice + wax. And plus that puck is blue making me think it might be a lighter puck.

And on the other hand, the nine-year-old (I'm assuming) goalie, probably has never seen that before, but any goalie that has seen that trick before could easily stop it.

looks like some kind of contest so its sick that he would pull it there. But agreed, my sister could probably do it with practice and a fresh tape job (no wax makes it way easier imo). Saw kids pulling this stuff in games when i was coaching camp, which i find more impressive.

If he can do it consistently thats pretty cool. The thing is it would only work once though because its really obvious when he's about to do it and the puck always hit the exact same spot.

yea, ive seen people do this before, looks cool. i think its just the element of surprise that gets em

Yeah really any player worth his salt can do that by peewee hes pretty young so I give some props but that move is so played out go between your legs or something make it a bit harder. Also yeah fresh ice stick and puck make it that much easier.

the blue puck is 4 oz instead of 6 oz, or some small increment of that sort, but it makes a huge difference, them weigh nothingthe move is easy as shit. the michigan has been around for a while and alot of people have done the spin. look up Robbie Schremp on youtube. he currently plays for the islanders and has some of the most unbeleivable hands in the league. i can do it forehand, backhand, and through the legs.i do have respect for that 9 year old, hes probabaly a stud compared to everyone his age, but with some wax and decent ability and the understanding of how to do it, the internet is blowing this up to big

What age? 'Cause I play in a hitting league (yes they offer non-hitting in my area for pussy kids) and if you put your head down like that in a game situation you are just gonna get cranked.

or just look like a fucking idiot after you had a break or somehow split the d and had enough distance to pull that whack stunt. its not something done in a game situation so therefore i don't care.

It was just camp so no one is gonna take your head off. But the kids were like 10 to 12 so even if they were hitting it wasnt very hard.

Mike Legg did it first. Go blue.
But this video is still pretty cool. Goalies reaction is priceless.

i can do that /claim
black friction tape + sex wax + practice = that being pretty easy, it's just hard to aim once it's up on your stick, but getting it up there is really easy, you just set it on the heel, press, and turn your blade as you sweep backwards, it's not a super hard trick
quite impressive for a 9 year old though, that kid was a crazy good player also, just by the way he skated and handled the puck he killed it out there
