Hockey Gabber

Taylor Hall's playing like a god in Boston. Hopefully he keeps this up and I'll be a very happy camper.
 
Anyone see yesterday's games? Some of the best hockey I've seen in a long ass time. Highly recommend the Lightning-Panthers series even if you don't follow either team, super talented playmakers on both sides and some playoff angst going already.

Also looking forward to watching the Avs tonight, this is the best team we've had in a while. Some people aren't giving the Blues a chance against us but I think they'll keep it close, could easily see them pushing the series to 6 or 7 games.
 
As an isles fan I watched that game. Great win.

The lightning panthers game was one of the best games i've seen all season. Tampa is such a fucking powerhouse. Panthers played amazing and still couldn't win.

I could easily see tampa repeating but it's early.

Yep isles/pens was great too. Was a bit surprised that they weren't able to hold that lead in the late 3rd considering how good they are at shutdown D.

I'm thinking either Vegas or Tampa for the cup, both rosters are just way too well-rounded. The Avs are great but still overrated and I say that as a fan of the team.

On the other hand it's hockey so who tf knows, I'm sure some random 3 seed will get hot and win it all lol.
 
Lol thats why I love hockey TBH. Just watching a random team play lights out and win it all. I'm hoping the Isles can be that team since I have $100 bet on them to win it all and pay out is 2K.

But i'm going to attempt to watch as many games as I can. Working from home that shouldn't be too difficult.

As a Habs fan it's actually scary watching all the other teams In the playoffs now. North Division is not up to par with some of these power houses. But hey, ça sent la coupe! Still picked them for my bracket lol
 
good win by the avs last night, almost forgot that the blues are quite possibly the sorest losers in the league. still don't see us sweeping them like some sportswriters are predicting but it's only game one and the avs are already in their head...

Sorest losers? Lol its the playoffs. The avs are insanely good, your first line might be the greatest line in the past decade, I forsee a sweep

Bortuzzo and clifford went full goon at the end of the 3rd. If it was a close game I'd get it, but at that point they were down 3 and even in the playoffs that's just kinda classless and embarrassing.

I'll buy into the sweep if next game goes similarly but any team with god mode goaltending is hard to write off like that.
 
Caps Bruins has been good. Fiesty matchup and i'm just waiting for someone to knock Wilson the fuck out. Unfortuantely i don't see it happening.

Looks like Canadian teams are starting today which will be fun to watch.
 
Developing a man crush on Taylor Hall. Greatest trade of all time tho I feel sorry for Bjork. Another win for the Bruins tonight so I'm happy abt that.

Your forgetting about the goalie, bennington. He was pointing his tick and thowing a tantrum like a fucking pussy at the end of game one. Midway through the 1st in game 2, I'd say a sweep isn't crazy

I went to bed thinking Minnesota was up 3-0. Guess they pulled a goal back for offsides then the Knights win 5-2 lol.

That was maybe the scariest thing I've ever seen happen during a hockey game. I saw a clip of him when the med staff was out there and in my nonmedical opinion it kinda looked like he was having a seizure
 
I think that's the first injury I've seen where I don't ever want to rewatch it. And I feel like I've been able to watch all the brutal hockey injuries. That one attempt to stand back up :(

I can't believe they kept showing the replay that much. I'll feel better if I hear he only has a concussion or something. I also felt terrible for Perry. He just let himself get beat up in the fight, he was so done after that.

I mean you saw Foligno's interview after the game where he talked about his reasoning and where Perry talked about their conversation before the fight. Perry's a big boy and he can take his punches. That being said, I'm still mixed on the issue. On one hand obviously it was a terrible accident and Perry feels like shit for it. But it is an issue of respect for the game and respect for JT as a player and as Toronto's captain. Was it necessary? Probably not. Was it a terrible thing to do? Also no.

Sorokin is an absolute savage. We stole that game. Penns 50 SOG . My god I was so relieved with that win. winning that fourth game is going to be very difficult nonetheless.
 
Pelech is honestly one of the most underrated D men in the league. He had another outstanding game last night. So glad I bought his jersey. He just is so good.

can't even imagine being an oilers fan right now. has to be so frustrating to watch mcdavid get shut down every year in the playoffs. my bracket got sploded

so many great 1st round matchups this year. with fans back it seems like a whole different sport too.

Seen a lot of oilers fans just want to let mcdavid go so he has a better chance at the cup and so edmonton has more money to spread around the team. Can't say I blame them

Dude our bracket is so similar it's a big rip. I've been an Oilers fanboy all season too because they were so fun to watch so it hurts double.

I don’t remember if they played before or after we got hallsy. But now the first and second lines are absolutely stacked with talent. There’s no way they’re getting stuffed in the ozone

Barzal needs to wake the fuck up. I'm just excited for this series as I have a slight interest in the Bruins anyway since my brother lives down the road from their practice facility in Brighton - and usually we're in different conferences.
