Big Fan of Hockey fs, they definitely have one of the best teams in skating rn for sure. My favorite dues that ride them are Ben Kadow and AA but I’m also very partial to Donovin and John as well.

I mean I guess that's hockey too

Hockey is really nice, I love it. I started watching it recently, and it's really cool! I was really bad at hockey, and I didn't know anything about it. I even had to google about hockey game duration and rules, haha :D However, I started watching it, and I really liked this sport. It's very interesting, especially when you have a favorite time. What is your favorite team? I am a big fan of Boston Bruins, these guys are awesome, I hope that they will get the trophy! What about you? :) I am waiting for your answers

I would rather pay to watch hockey than get paid to watch football or baseball.

football is cool only because of the strength and athleticism of some of its players.

but im too adhd to sit for 3 hrs to watch 5 minutes of actual play time

Anybody hear the comments made by commentator Mike Milbury the other night? He basically said women can be distracting to horn dog hockey players and not having them in the bubble may be beneficial to teams trying to make a serious run at the cup. SJWs flipped out and got him cancelled, I think its a bunch of bullshit. What does NS think?

Skip to :22 for the Milbury quote. I don't know the people covering the story in the video.

Anybody keen for the new season in a coupla weeks?

I'm watching the world juniors at the moment, and man I'm glad hockey is back. Also F's in the chat for Kirby Dach, his wrist got fucked up real good.

The all Canadian division will be interesting. Seems like a bit of a toss up as to where teams will rank in that one

Definitely. Montreal have been making moves so I could see them moving up in the standings.

My best guess is going to be:

1. Toronto (Boo, but also I just like to see the canadian teams do well so also kinda yay)

2. Vancouver (That new trade that went through today for Hammonic should bolster their blue line and give em more depth, but who knows if the top 6 can deliver like last year)

3. Calgary (Good moves in the off season, and did pretty good last year tbh, too bad they choked)

4. Oilers (McJesus and Dry Cleaner are just too good, goaltending tho?)

5. Montreal (Toffoli is a g who surely scores like a madman this season + Jake Allen to back up Price makes maybe one of the best duo's in net?)

6. Winnipeg (idk lol)

7. Ottawa (cool things to come but right now still meh)

That's my best guess, but tbh I could see any of the top 5 being interchangeable depending on how each team starts/injuries.

It'll be weird at the trade deadline, depending on covid restrictions with making signings for rent-a-players to improve your team come play off time.

That’s how I see it too. Really could go so many different ways depending on how the season plays out. Will be interesting to watch for sure.

Added stress this year as I’m a Canucks fan and my dad is a Leafs fan - 9 games between them. I took the Nucks 6/9

I took the Nucks 6/9[/quote]

Nice.

Yeah, I'm Canucks fan too haha.

Whatdya think about Holtby in net? You reckon he'll bounce back?

I guess we’ll see. I think overall it made sense to let Markstrom get away, especially for the contract he was after (and the impending expansion draft). I think Holtby definitely has a chance to rebound, people love to harp on goalies after a tough year, the guys name is on the cup so there’s that.

habs/oilers lets fuckin go baby

I think teams are gonna hate each other playing so much. Battle of 'Berta and Ontario 9 times or something like that? Gonna be wild. Bet on how many times Tkachuk is going to fight this year.

USA USA USA USA USA USA

40% of the league is Canadian, which I think says something. US was the better team today though. See you next year

Yeah. IMO it’s kinda wack, however I get that they’re pretty much the poorest league in the big 4, and this is an opportunity to make money to run the league in a down year.

I don’t mind for this year, but if they keep it in the future, I won’t be chuffed

Stoked for Islander hockey back tomorrow. LGIIIIIIIII

Metro division is fucking STACKED this year. whats your team!?

Have they figured out how the canadien teams are going to play the american teams? last i heard COVID was fucking everything up?

They aren’t this season till the playoffs. Too much hassle/risk with playing the US, so they’ve redone the divisions.

Keen for the all Canadian division.

Honestly by the end of the season, a bubble won’t be required for playoffs, but who knows.

I thought so. They redid the the Metro division.... not good news as an Islander fan. Bruins added and they fucking slay us every time.

Overall super glad hockey is back. When they resumed the 2020 season my life during COVID went from shit to bearable.

We just resigned BARZAL. was getting a little worried with the holdout

We don't have Krug or Chara this season, so it might not be as bad for you as it has been in previous years.

Didn't Chara get a one year deal? Where did Tori go?

Rask has our number and you still have the top line with Pasta Bergy and Marchy.

Chats may have gotten a one year deal but it’s with the caps I believe, certainly not Boston. And negotiations between Krug and Boston were going nowhere so the blues picked him up.

I agree Tuukas a stud in net and that line is phenomenal, but krug and chara were hugest parts of the team, especially with chara as captain.

TODAY IS THE DAY GENTS. Can't wait to sit down with a joint and beer and watch the shitty penguins get wrecked @5:30 EST.

They've underperformed for quite a while. Gotta break that drought at some point with these guys. You've got too much talent to not get far into the playoffs. Hoping Isles can have another killer season.

14227067:hdubs said:
He fucking does, but there’s also Marner, Matthews, Nylander, and a bunch of other decent guys

You’d think so wouldn’t you. Unfortunately they’ve had a pretty similar team for way too long to make me think somethings going to change this season.

I think the isles are going to have a pretty decent season. They made some good moves in the off season and have some really talented guys on the team, especially Barzal

Anderson your tender still? I feel like you guys should maybe switch that up possibly.

Yeah but like the leafs are gonna win the North division and that’s facts

Eh I disagree. There isn’t really a clear cut best team in the north, and there’s no limit to how shit the leafs can be
