Ok. so i decided that i want to mount my scratchs at +3, but when i put the bindings there, it looks wack. like its forward mounted. so is that just some weird illusion thing that look bindings give u? also will +3 make the skis crappy outside the park?

Also, i have p10 lifters and i want to mount them without the lifters. im hearing that i need some adapter type thing, or can they just use shorter screws and mount them straight on. Without the lifter, they look a bit sketchy for just mounting straight on.

Thanks for any help.

They look sick! They do look forward for +3. But looks have a long nose, idk.

^sorry i had to quote it wouldnt let me reply any other way. they look alright and it is just the toe piece that looks foreward if you had your boots in there they would look very centered. you your scratches have the "standard" and "modern" lines on em? mine r the 04-05s and i have em mounted at the standard line. not completely center but i love em in the park and all mountain. if your real worried about it just take em down to +2 that should be fine as well

(i didn't want to quote, but i'm having trouble finding the regular reply button)

when i was deciding where to mount my tms, i was skeptical about mounting that far forward. it does look too far at first, but you will realize that it's not. i ended up mounting them at +2.5, and now wish that i had gone farther.

my center mounted scratches look forward too but it is just an optical illusion....they won't be great outside of the park but then again they are park skis

i had those they got a ton of stress cracks in them so at the end of the season i sent them back and got them warrantied

looking at my scratches i think mine might even be a little further forward, i have only ridden them 4 times because conditions are shitty, btu they seem to have a good feel for me, i'd leave it

turn one ski around so theyre tip to tail

Like this

Tail

Tip

If theyre center mounted, the space between the bindings should be exaclty equal, as shown with the vertical marks.

so i tried it again and it looks a lot better now...im guessing its just some illusion thing.

Those look fucking sick... nice skis. I love that graphic. Too bad Rossi had to go and run it into the ground by putting it on about 5 different pairs of skis.

it doenst really affect the skis outside park abilities if you mount them at +3 i have done that with all of my skis.

Infiltrate, Destroy, Rebuild

i forward mt my skis and they ski fine outside of the park iduno what some peoples problem with centre mounting is.

dont get it twisted

^ It's the over-the-handlebars feeling... I get it at speed on my Ar5s (centered). It's probably better if you're skiing something way bigger than you, my Ar5s are 180 and I'm about 186 tall.

thats nuts. its just the looks cause they have very little in the heel but a long nose. it would be really weird skiing skis with a longer nose then tail...

my bud has those at +3 and loves em, my bc are at +2 and I wish they were one more.

The further forward you are the more floatation you get in the powder, the further back the more your tails stick in and tips go up.

I think +3 is perfect, if you have doubts go 2.5 and make sure they are CENTIMETERS not inches, you won't regret it after you learn to sit on your tails (as opposed to leaning back with your whole body).

Measure different ways, tip to tail, tail to tip, effective usable edge, sidecut, from tip to tail where the white sidewall ends and the black begins, draw lines in all 4 of these and then judge from there.

Brand new Giro 9. MX size XL color black from s&c.com will ship to canda PM me. XL = 59-61.5cm.

dude...theyre not even mounted buddy....i just put the bindings there to see what itd look like.
