and honestly the movie is borring. i could have gone to sleep. good shots, but the filler was gay. i don't know they are turning in to WM.
 
went to the hitlist last night, wasn't feelin' it, some good segments, but overall pretty lame, def. felt like WM without peoploe trying to get on the lift and failing. Glad I didn't have to pay to get in.
 
well just say that daron rahlves bashing gates on a big mountian line was soooo progressive that it blew my socks right off. Dude doesn't know where to go unless someone throws out a stick and then he's off like a dog after it.
 
there was about three times too much big mountain... i definently didn't feel it. Bushfield, wilson and benchetler were sick tho
 
There were way to many hand rails in that movie that started to get old, and wilson is a hardcore claimer, it sucked they had D-Ralves Shanghi Six BLOWS hit list out of the water minus the expensive helicopter shots
 
That movie BLEW. I am done with MSP. The only good thing about that deal up at Suede was the sick DJ, and the fine HH girls handing out swag. Hitlist was fawful though.
 
Did they just use last years footage from yearbook and then add some andy mahre? Cause i swear thats what they did...
 
Agreed, that movie was horrible. It was like, "I'm gonna talk about a line that I just skied in about fifteen seconds for the next five minutes" I saw it, it doesn't need an explanation.
 
Agreed. it seemed exactly like Yearbook, but just with a different theme. And once again, (not to the suprise of anyone) the music was horrendous. I wanted to go find the MSP rep there, put my arm around his shoulder and say in the most empathetic tone possible; "You know buddy... what the hell is wrong with your movie company? Can you please tell Murray Wais to stop putting Metal Mullisha music in his ski movies? That would be tremendous for all of us."
 
I fell sorry to those of you who believe that ski movies hsould only include T-Hall, the C-Crew and every other jib monkey on the planet. If you hate them from the start then why do all you rich little assholes keep paying to see their movies and buying there stuff. I know racing is in none of any of the douche bags backgrounds who hate everything about it because if you have done it you know that it creates the best skiers. Daron Ravles can kick every little shits ass in this collection of the rickest idoits that is know to man. It just a movie about skiing enjoy it or don't pay to see it and go be a pro hoe at some terrian park like PC or Vail. It justs makes my life easier at real mountians were people ski and don't jjust take off and land. So to every one jib monkey and wanna be skier go blow your parents money on this years style and enjoy your days as a fufu dancer on snow

yo your an idiot. people realize that the skiing is sick. that is a given. it is the fact that MSP takes a budget that is off the wall and makes an ok film. it should be sick. sure the footy is sick, but they turn it in to a sleeper film. i literaly alomst dozed off when i watched it in aspen.

get off your high horse, and apriciate all skiing for what it is no matter what they do.

everybody knows that you need all skiing skills to make it today.

at least people should.
 
Sure doesn't look like it when reading any of these threads I watch videos that show skiing not who can do what with a camera "no disrespect to any one who tried to do something different" but every movie that is coming from all these upstarts is the same this kid can throw that. Watch me I can slide this. Same gazellion kids hitting the same jump just doing different tricks. Skiing is a sport that is defined as sliding down a snow covered hill. How ever you get your fix I don't give a damn but Don't FUCKING rip on everyone else on the slopes because there not as good as you or they do something different. Skiing is fun and whatever you do to make it fun should be your own choice and now one should care whos wearing what or what the new music to listen to on the hill but some how some way this collection of douche bags has managed to take a sport and make it a FUCKING fashion show.

First, it doesn't sound like you like skiing too much, since you just ripped on a whole genre of skiers.

Secondly if you don't like the opinions expressed here get the fuck off this site. I suggest epicski.com, they are much more racer friendly.

Thrid, I don't know if it was just me but I swear yearbook and hitlist featured the same jumps as one another.

Forth, obvisiously racing doesn't breed the best overall skiers, becasue if you watch the segment with d.rahlves in it, you wold have notcied that he skied much tamer lines than abma and davenport. Plus skiers come from all different backgrounds (freestyle, racing, and none of the above). Good skiers are just gift athletes.

Last, you are probably the dumbest angriest person I have ever seen on any ski site and to insult the intelligence of others speaks volumes of your own intelligence.

and one more thing offtrail made a great point, MSP has a hugh budget, one of the biggest of ski film companies, yet they make the same fucking movie every year. Ski Movie 1 is more or less the same as everything up to hitlist, the editing is the same and shitty ass fillers are the same (and steadily increase each year). At least the ski movie trilogy had funny comedy bits as filler which I felt was lacking in hitlist, minus the pillow fight seg.

so go chase sticks down the hill sinc that is so superior to anything else in skiing.
 
^word. i dont think angry mcgee up there even remembers why he started ranting in the first place, talking about how shitty jibbin/park skiing is and shit, but then doubles back talking about how you shouldnt rip on everyone on the slopes for doing something different. What do you care if people disliked the MSP movie? by bitching out the people who didnt like the show, is coming out and saying that you have loved everything you've paid money for. doubtful. You should think of what your going to say, and what kind of response your going to get, before you open your fat smelly mouth.
 
I thought the movie was pretty good. Probably why you guys didn't like it so much is that the people who created it are "big mountain skiers". So I guess it sucked if you'd rather watch tanner hall trying act like he grew up on the hard streets of new york.
 
Hey there Captain Douchebag. I am all about big mountain... i would way rather watch that than jibbing... I was stating that MSP's creativity level is comparable to that of Kid Rock's. Also, the music is about as rediculous, and as out of place as it gets. You obviously have horrible taste if you think that hardcore, Powerman 5000, Staind-steeze bullshit.

Go pierce your other eyebrow, shave your head and go binge-drink yourself to the point of alcohol poisoning. Oh yeah, and go finish up your barbed wire tattoo around your bicep!
 
i still disagree with some of yall. i am all about big mountain as well. rollin 192 motherships and powder hunting at alta is what i do. I agree with this fellow ^^ and think that hitlist was just more of the same. mike wilson is the shit though. i'd bend over for his part any day. did that sound a little gay?

I thought that it was tight. I just wished that they would have put the damn map away and stop all the dumb commentary. but there was some sick progressive stuff and i thought that the segments flowed well with the music. They do need to take a step back from warren miller. But you can tell that the cinematography is far superior to other production companies. They just need to put it together better. Anyone else agree?
